Hmm your on a fairly slow ADSL connection there notice your getting the 12meg next to the router(which your getting over the ethernet cable) but yeah 10 meters away your falling well short(are there walls in the way/is it a block of flats possibly many other signals around?)
I would invest in more bandwidth if possible ,time to speak to your ISP me thinks :)

A little update, I have used the old router as the modem and put a cable from old router to new router. The connection is still poor,

the above is standing right next to router

this oabout 10 meters away.

connected via cable to computer is showing

Any suggestions? I’m guessing at this stage, try getting a new modem from isp and or changing data plan and provider.
Dude, did you actually connect to the Wi-Fi on the new router, or did you just connect to the Wi-Fi on the old router, as your phone already had the connection to it?
There's no way the new router would have issues with that slow of a connection.
That's ADSL, which is most likely PPPoA.
You really should check with the ISP if you can't get something better from them, both in terms of "modem" and connection.

I made sure it was the new router I was connected to, I made sure by taking the extra measure of forgetting the old router on my device.
