Yes, I had issues getting it to work because all videos said hold ALT down.
Did you get it to work now? Flat line frpm your desired volt/frequency?

No I haven't test it, because I just got home for today and last night I was gaming some Life is Strange: True Colors and I want to game even more now.

Plus in every video I watch they can take the highest point like for me at the moment 1900MHz and drag it to the left to the mV they want and I can't

Do you use curve editor in afterburner? Press control+f, mark one point while you hold alt, drag the whole curve down so that the point furtest right is at 1700, drag the point at 775mv to 1700 and apply, the the curve should be flat from 775mv and 1700, that should work unless you are very unlucky with bin. Check gpu-z, you get powerlimit on perf cap reason? Try raising pwrlimit to max.

I am never luck in silicon lottery. tried 1705@775mV soft crash.

But my line doesn't behave like everyone elses it adjusts everything when I hold down ALT not like a single point :(

My board power still wants to be at anywhere from 345 to 355W under load using Heaven Benchmark

I guess I am too stupid for this because no matter how I adjust the dots up or down board power keeps jumping to 355W maybe it's just the Ventus boards that ain't designed for this.

Try unlock voltage control in afterburner, also check gpu-z and read what speed and voltage you get while running the game.

I have already unlocked the voltage control but if I set the card too low on 1700MHz it hard crashes and restart if I lower it to where I wanna run board power even doing Life is Strange: True Colors are 355W.

Because the Ventus series is just for running like they are because even with 875mV set it still draws the same feel like it's only made for OC not undervolting :banghead:

Tried 800mv at 1700? 875mv should be enough to run 1850 or more. Check with gpu-z and see if actual voltage is 800 at 1700.

I am still don't get it, that Board Power Draw goes up to 355W even if it draws less power then stock.

Here it's running 1725-1740MHz but still reaches 82C under 100% fans speeds

Point is you must make your curve flat from 1700@775mv, try that. You didn`t do as I adviced :) Try make it like this.
curve.png

First lower all curve so that the point farthest to the right is at 1700, then raise the point at 775mv and press apply, try 800mv instead if it does not work.

Your curve is flat from 1050mv, and you get powerlimit due to too high voltage.

Please watch this:

I cannot lower it, the curve is always present on this card, I am not sure what's wrong but I cannot make a specific mark go up or down, no matter if I use Shift, CTRL or ALT.

Shift lowers the whole curve, CTRL tiltes it up or down and ALT can raise or lower the whole curve.

So either my keys are different in MSI Afterburner or it's went tits up I don't know.

I am running the UK language and keyboard in Windows 11.

Dont press alt og ctrl when raising one point. Just raise the point at 1700 and 775mv after you lower whole curve with shift or alt, never use ctrl, so that the highest value to the right us 1700 or below. Doing that flattens curve from 1700@775mv or 800mv if 775mv is unstable.

You still dont get the curve right, your at over 850mv max, if you want powerconsumption and temps to drop a lot you should go for 800mv or lower.

It's a start, I just had a hard lockup with restart at 1710MHz@750mV but 775mV looks fine no crash or drops but temps is still bad

1650@750mv should work, if thst doesn't drop temps I don't know what does. Gpu-z shot with 1710@775mv?

My card refuse to go that low at 1725MHz it's stuck at 825mV.

But looks like it want to go 1710MHz@800mV

But temps are still like up to 80c even with like max 330W board power os maybe the Ventus cooler is just shit in my case.

Did you get the curve straight from 800mv this time? Your last screenshot shows volts above 850mv so that explains high consumption. Post a curve screenshot and I can try to help.

Not totally straight because when I then click apply it adjust it self like this:

I have straighten the line out like 10times or something it always goes back to this line when everything is set to a straight line :banghead:

It happends sometimes on my setup aswell, but very rare. A fix could be pressing ctrl+L on 1700\800mv, that will force it, but never downclock so idle consumption will be higher. If you raise the point at 800 above the point at 1250mv, does it still don`t straight out? You could try powerlimit instead, often you can drop it to 80-90% before performance drops significantly, but that coul help temps\noise quite a bit.

When I got sometime I will try it out.

I completed Life is Strange: True Colors with these settings. I only had some comming issues that the game developers have been trying to sort out so it wasn't my card.

Okay, by lowering gpu clock -200 to bring the curve slider down, and then I raised the 800mV to 1705Mhz like this:
1631467131173.png

I tested out Red Dead Redemption 2 benchmark since I had the game started and fan speed is 98% and temps are about 70-71c at 1705Mhz with a board power of 289W for sometime this looks really then all hell goes on and the clocks doesn't go that much up and temps raises to 79c to 81c same fan speed at 98% and the board power is suddenly showing 325W what the hell :kookoo:

What is it with this ventus card has MSI put in something that suddenly says oh we see you go under our rated voltage and it needs to turn up the clocks even clocks doesn't change

@Taraquin have you tried anything like this where everything goes real smooth no hiccups or anything performance goes great temps are fine fan speed is 98% then suddenly temps raise because board power goes up in my case 36W which to me sounds like a lot because it gives me like 10c more heat to remove.

Something is preventing a flat line, I have only rarely seen that. Tried ctrl+L on 1700/800mv? See what happends then.

Oh, CTRL+L actually made my line staight when I click apply

Maybe this can help with the board draw too I just find it weird out of nothing it goes from nice 289W to wow WTF 325W.

So far my car is going from 299W to like 309W but temps are still the same like 80-81c and fan speed 99% maybe my card just ain't a good card.

What is pwrdraw/temps at 800mv lock? If you really wanna force temps down try 1600@750mv, reduces performance slightly though by a few percent.
