I'm in Saigon and this thursday i will have the Rx480 for CF, CFX 3, or may be quadfire i don't know yet because HIS distributor made a promise with me this thursday i can get my hands on them.........i'm a bit let down to know that it's in the range of 390-390x ( the saleman told me that ), because some of the leak it's on Fury nano, Fury range but now it's somewhat between 390-390x........ hopefully it have high overclock ability ....... may i ask 8gb should be enough for 8560x1440 resolution ?

RX480 is not placed to be highend. Why would you expect it to perform highend is beyond me in the first place.

I remember I grabbed my Sapphire FuryX off Amazon at exactly MSRP 649. It went out of stock 1 minute after I placed order. Later that afternoon it went up to 680. So I assume the same might happen. Sapphire might honor the MSRP for the base line 4GB version, at least for a little while.

Still debating whether to get this first or wait for then. One thing is sure: I WILL get Vega later this year.

I think I'll just get two 480s and a 470 to upgrade my rigs and that'd be it... heck, to tell the truth I think I'm just upgrading for the sake of upgrading, the only card I really "need" to upgrade is the 7870 and mainly for VRAM reasons. Lower power consumption although nice isn't really a requirement in my book since I don't run my PCs 24/7... but the upgrade itch is strong on this one :D

RX 480 is still a new model, and i follow MSI a lot, and i know for a fact that there is still no RX 480 Lightning, so what you got there is something else.

P.S: Hahahahaha, google search revealed this XD

RX 480 = GTX 960/1060 (mid-end card)

MSI Lightning brand is only for high end cards.

and - Sapphire always were much better.

1.AMD RX 480 Overclocked To 1.6Ghz
2.XFX Preparing AMD Radeon RX 480 Reference Cards With A 1328Mhz Boost Clock Speed

So far everything that this particular individual has leaked we’ve managed to corroborate and confirm with our sources. So we know that his leaks are genuine. Interestingly, this person streamed live gameplay of Overwatch running on an RX 480 yesterday. In the video, which has now been removed, it was revealed that the particular RX 480 sample that was being used had been overclocked to 1607Mhz.

or GTX 970 ? that uses ATI HD 3870 memory bus ?

Peww thank AMD, Nvidia switched from GDDR3 to GDDR5 i guess...

Ok first of all, I thought we were just talking about the RX 480 here and not the GTX 970?

Yes, it seems that they do. ;)

People can bash the GTX 970 all they want, but it's a great card.
So you dropped your GTX 970 off a cliff (Or at least out of your main machine) because it was so great? In fact I recall you stating how it was so much better than anything and something about SLI being a bargain...Funny how that changed your card so quickly after all that talking, bragging, and attempting to shame others over their video card choices.

Second, if you really have this much hatred towards AMD then you should leave a thread directly about AMD and let the big kids talk. Since apparently talking anything good about AMD in your book is a crime... Stop derailing threads trolling...

Third your point is about the 1607MHz??? Different architectures overclock differently and to different levels. The clock speeds (While fun to see) are irrelevant, it only matter the percentage of an overclock you get and how much of an increase it gets.

Guys pls leave Fluff alone. Let's not feed the trolls. Let him play by himself. If you feel tired simply add him to your ignore list.

i know but at the first leaked from various sites it's like in the fury nano fury range . It's a sub 300$ so its place is in the mid i think.

Its amazing isn't it...

1. It's called upgrading, you weird rant here doesn't change the fact that I fully enjoyed my 970 as have millions of others.
2. Hatred? You getting more off-piste by the day, it's seems i have really annoyed you, i take that as a compliment.
3. 1607Mhz? Yeah i get it captain obvious, forgive me for pointing out the coincidence in an apparent max overclock vs an known base clock, clearly it's very upsetting to some here.

1: Yea... upgrading during the same generation of cards... Because most people do that when they have fully enjoyed their cards especially on a bargain card claimed to be a great SLI option for cheap... Clearly someone really enjoyed their GPU to get rid of it so fast...
2: If you're going to try and copy another member and be like him in the most derogatory sense, at least use words that fit the sentence and phrasing better (On top of better grammar and English). Online resources exist for a reason...
3: Then you pointed out something completely irrelevant? Just like 90% of your posts...
4: You clearly have some issues since you make yourself the center of many of these arguments. Or is it everyone else and you're the only sane one?

Fact is you drove this off subject. Claiming otherwise as you usually try to is foolish especially when even the OP of the thread is asking everyone to stop talking to you hoping you will go away.

AMD Poland confirmed MSRPs for RX 480:

4Gb - 199$
8Gb - 229$

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/4p0n3i/rx_480_8gb_msrp_is_229_usd/

So far it seems the most urgent basher of RX480 are the 970 owners.
I so doubt it isn't coming from nvidia. Full time trolls isn't something that was invented in Russia.

What i said was the facts. MSRP for eVGA gtx1080 super clocked is 650$, yet resellers on amazon been tring to sell it for 1200+ to even as high as 2000$. SO before you tell me to check the facts you should do that first.
I shared a link to a German site FILLED WITH 1070/1080s (for f*cking WEEKS) priced at Fools Edition MSRP.
You have conveniently ignored that. Tell me moar about price gouging by evil retailers, Jesus Christ...

Just out of curiosity, how do you know that the German site (mindfactory.de) filled with 1070 & 1080? Is it from the red number above the "Details" button?

This thread is getting rancid. All credit to @Fluffmeister for not being aggressive. The OP and others are claiming troll when anyone posts anything slightly outside their own hype boundaries.
The only trolling going on here is the repetitive sniping back and forth. And while fluff is getting accused of trolling on a 480 thread, the OP and his loyal apologists post those 970 memes or worse, GTX 480 jokes.
The hypocrisy shown here is fucking outstanding.

Let's keep the thread running because it shows a lot of true colour. But for those calling troll, look at your own posts and ask yourself if you're actually being balanced or doing everything possible to keep your own bias on top.

Lagernd

And: "über XX verkauft" - number of cards sold.

Funny that 1080 outsold 1070.

"overlocker dream - GTX 980 Ti"
Funny thing is, if one takes boost clock and not base (where is base even applicable), good OC-er 980Ti ends up being in the same 20%-ish OC ballpark.

because it shows
Responding to a post clearly stating "overclocking" with "oh, that's a nice base clock" - is clear trolling.
Good job defending that and responding to tone in general.

2.XFX Preparing AMD Radeon RX 480 Reference Cards With A 1328Mhz Boost Clock Speed
That's rather underwhelming though, given the hype levels.

I have just deleted 28 posts (apologies if I missed some, apologies if you feel yours shouldn't be included) that were either petty squabbling that should have been taken to PM's or just deliberate attempts to de-rail this thread, to be honest some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, my young granddaughter conducts herself better and with more maturity than one or two of you. Let's try again to stick to the topic otherwise this one will get closed as well and I will issue free and lengthy holidays. To aid this I am going to try out a new feature (for me), it's called "reply bans" so lets see if it works and I can stop deliberate troll baiters from entering the fray (again).

10.0.10586 - Windows 10 Insider Preview from - NOVEMBER 5, 2015(Almost 8 Months old) (Microsoft Blog)
6.3.10586 - This is Windows winter 2015 official Update.

Extra-

Update:

NDA to the Radeon RX 480 might end sooner:

http://pctuning.tyden.cz/compo...

"Today, my German colleague told that the
RADEON RX 480 morning DHL has delivered to him on the table and AMD
(supposedly) is looking at the end of the NDA. The reason is obvious,
the card will come to stores and therefore had allegedly stashed. People
in companies that simply let go, even when everything is already long
been clear, and nothing is secret. Performance RX 480 is at the level of
the Radeon R9 390x and overcomes slightly GeForce GTX 980. The GTX
reports on the performance of 1070 and the miraculous stepping forget,
it was all probably just lures. Radeon RX 480 goes to overclock up to
10-14 percent and an end. Price in the 8 GB version is also long been
clear, see listings cards Alzey and elsewhere ... ie around CZK 8,000
with taxes.
