It was to eliminate any possibility of a odd bios on the card. The 1 i found was 100% compatible with the card at hand and under my direction a card can be flashed and recovered.
Either way Kikovic on the amd site when you look for drivers look at your specific card and further down the list you see radeon pro drivers which to me seem to be the most stable.
