I don't think it will be better by switching to an AIB. If anything what you need is time. Time for the drivers to mature.

your decision is easy then. do the swap. and if you end up not liking the sapphire pulse, i will buy it from ya for a small discount. (not buying the reference cooler though) :D

msi has bad reviews for the thermal pads not touching the vrm's, so I would get the sapphire pulse.

Maybe your on about about another problem with MSI, but a resent one was memory chips 1/2 covered with badly sized cooling and pads.

I'm not sure gamersnexus did a review of the msi 5700 xt and said something about the vrm cooling was wrong on it

also even techpowerup's own reviews show the sapphire pulse has the best temps.

im considering buying a sapphire nitro or pulse. not sure yet. all depends if i can sell my laptop, it wouldn't sell at $640... so i might try 550...

I would not buy any thing MSI, but anyways here's what i was referring too.

Yeah I believe Gamers Nexus liked the Sapphire one too cooling wise.

And i will not touch Sapphire as their warranty is against replaying thermal paste. All so not very clear on their warranty's either and is left to the retailer which you have to trust.

We are quickly running out of companies then, cause I am pretty sure warranty is bad for almost all of them.

I havent had an issue with a sapphire cards thermal compound, also when the warranty is up it just means youd have to pay for the repair, thats all it means.

MSI Mesh and Sapphire Pulse are the only options
MSI Mech has the same shit cooling over VRM's (or was it memory?) as Evoke and Gaming X, the one where thermal pad & shitty piece of metal covers only half of it.

I just bought Gigabyte's RX 5700 XT, it's not bad. Though the drivers are still shit.

If you are unsure contact their customer support, ive replaced 1 card outside of 30 day return policy of a store by contacting sapphire directly

I thought the void stickers are, Void now :D

It says in video they are

MSI is friggin lazy SOBs, get the pulse card

We are quickly running out of companies then, cause I am pretty sure warranty is bad for almost all of them.

If i was going to buy a AMD card i would go though XFX as they have been great for me personally. They replaced my 290X without any issue although i did notice the 390X which they exchanged it for has a shorter warranty, but will have to see.

When they were doing double lifetime on the older cards and i sold mine to find out the cooler was making a ticking and they just said send it to us and we will send it to your buyer and they did it promptly and gave him a upgrade.

I thought the void stickers are, Void now :D

Yeah but nothing to stop them saying you damaged it by removing the cooler though.

I like my warranty's to be clear as possible, with easy to find facts about it. And if the warranty is from the retailer and they shutdown do you loose your warranty.

When talking $400+ for a card that's how i like it. Just wish AMD could release some thing worth while.

Did you use the DDU (display driver uninstall)? Try that and get the latest drivers for your card and try again. I'd use the wattman to maybe undervolt it a little bit.
I'd still try something before deciding to swap with something else.

In US, they are. In EU they're still valid.

While I would certainly bash MSI for that disgrace with thermal pads they are more than able to produce very good quality cards.

Why is there a debate? If the Anniversary card is duff, swap it for a Sapphire Pulse. If that doesn't work... Well, it's the PC (or some nefarious hardware/software conflict).

MSI 5700XT Gaming X is good, the Evoke is bad. GN only reviewed the Evoke.

Agreed 100%. Pulse has lowest temps according to TPU reviews.

@Durvelle27 I hope you swapped!!! when is the deadline for you to make up your mind?

definitely go for the Pulse, or if you can throw a bit towards it try and get a Nitro. I've been using Sapphire since the early 2000's when they came out, over 13 cards by them, 1 failure which was replaced (7970 failed replaced with a 280x FoC) I always go for the Vapor X range now if I can to as the cooling solutions have been very good. in terms of the quality I'd say Sapphire are the best and top tier AMD producer.

Honestly, I'm not convinced the pulse is an awesome card. I always thought it is not that great considering other brands. I usually go for Powercolor Red. I think the pulse lack some performance. Maybe the temps are good but the clocks are a bit lower?

Every 5700XT pretty much performs practically the same.
They are within 1~2 FPS of the Blower.

You should start smoking if you aren't already. Maybe this will keep your mind in focus instead of craving. Pulse is nowhere near Red Devil from Powercolor. That's what I'm after. Wasn't talking in general. I'm referring to Pulse version. Reading and understanding - that's the key.
For the record I'd pick Red devil over Pulse anytime. That's for sure.
I know they are not far apart but there's also other things like cooling. (Although I hear pulse isn't bad).

You are trying to compare PowerColors Red Devil, their highest spec card with the pulse, Sapphires midrange, why not fix it against the Nitro+

However you wanna put it. Powercolor are budget brand and probably one of the worst card manufacturers

We can put it against Nitro+ why not. You can get Red Dragon which is more to speed with Pulse.
I dont think it is the worst card. I've got Red Devil and I couldn't be happier. It is a great card and basically you have no idea what you are talking about.

They are basically the same but Nitro+ is $70 more expensive than Red Devil. (Amazon) So no this is not a worst card ever.
