Ubersampling was pretty tough and can even bring relatively recent hardware down on its knees. At least, it was pretty punishing for my Vega 64 at 1440p. Crysis ran better on Nvidia upon release but AMD caught up a few months later with the 4870.

Prebuilts always seemed to be a little behind so in early 2008 with my tax refund my options where 8800GTX or HD 2900. The HD 4870 came out like 6 months later I def may have considered it otherwise.

And yeah uber sampling is still a biatch to run lol.
