I'm actually very happy that they are continuing with the STALKER games. They always have so much promise, and although they sometimes are lacking because of how ambitious they are, they are still very enjoyable for me. The team will soon have plenty of experience and each game should get more and more polished!

first - I'm going to re-post one of my rants:

y'know . . . truthfully, I wish everyone would QUIT BITCHIN about how buggy SoC and CS were.

All things considered, both were solid games - as many people that did have problems with either release, ther were an equal number that didn't have problems.

Besides - PC gaming has always seen bugged games upon initial release . . . I can't think of one title that hasn't had some kind of patch or update issued for it - even the biggest titles, from solid game developers had patches . . . sometimes the first patch was even issued on the very DAY that the title was released (i.e. FEAR).

It's near impossible for devs to be able to ensure compatibility when you look at how varied and different everyone's rig is.

Let us be thankful, though, that modern game buggines isn't as bad as it was during the mid-late 90s . . . back when it wasn't unusual for a game to corrupt your OS installtion, or potentially even damage your hardware.

Secondly - I'm going to say that I'm defi looking forward to the new release . . . although, it appears as if the majority of the new features have been inspired by the many mods for SoC . . .

sure, the features are new for a new game, but for many of us having played the many mods available, they probably won't be as impressive
