They don't have this information listed on the product page but the SSD is QLC so life expectancy is quite low; had to lookup the micron nand flash (n48r) to figure out what cell charge was being used.

I spent £10 on a used 256GB drive for my discount SteamDeck

I didn't think the Deck would be powerful enough for big AAA games that take up 100GB each

I was so wrong, and now I'm wishing my biggest MicroSD card wasn't 256GB

sabrent sucks. paid 90 for my gen4 2230 drive for my 512gb sabrent drive i got on launch. steam deck at launch, 33 days later they discount it, and make the 1tb variant only 109... only 20 more and i could have doubled my storage. the sale took place conviently 3 days after the refund period for the launch drives.

fucking scumbag policies. never buying sabrent again

If you buy based on "sales" = AKA lets dump stuff that nobody wants, you deserve what is coming to you.
I tell this to my little kid: Be wary of any reduction in price, that is not for you to benefit from, that is a big WARNING sign.

Right, except PCIe 4.0 storage is old, there is PCIe 5.0 that is better already. And yes there are stuff released already.
Anyone saying NVMe Gen 4 is clueless and deserves to be fired. NVMe has a different numbering scheme.

PCIe 5.0 is better already ... in some respects, but even if you forget about the price, its HOT and improves little, or nothing at all, in random performance. PCIe 4.0 still has a lot of room for improvement - but no, neither Sabrent nor anyone else is actually going to speed up random reads considerably.

Your're right, but look at this example: evey manufacturer and his dog sells "SATA III" or "SATA 3" SSDs and HDDs and interfaces when in reality it's SATA 6 Gbit/s. There's a connection of course, SATA 3.0 introduced that higher speed, but didn't make lower speeds obsolete.
