Samsung announced two new desktop PCs, that drive the company's eco-friendly initiative. Pictured below, are two models: the MV100 Mini-Tower, and the MZ100 Slim-Tower (look at those dark cuboid objects). Both feature identical system specifications, they feature Intel processors, an Intel G43 chipset based motherboard, and a GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB graphics card. Optionally, the GeForce 9500 GS is also available. What sets these desktops apart, is the fact that they consume as less as 60W when in power-saving mode, and 1W in stand-by.

Why not save more power by switching to HD4670?
And nice IGP on that G43 will never be used....

looks just like a mini ITX/micro ATX system, i've made some that used 60W of power a few times for people now.

lol, damn companies are starting to catch up. I better start on the my next downsize.

Think of it this way, the average laptop power brick is 65W or 90W, so all they're doing is using laptop equivalent parts. (35W CPU, 1-2 sticks of ram, 2.5" HDD, onboard video/low power video)
 
The 9600 uses more than 60watts by itself. So the comp has to use around 150watts. I built a water cooled Sli comp than used a pair of 8600GTs and ran 165 watts.

i'm thinking the 60W may be with onboard video, and the other cards were optional.

edit: after re-reading the OP, you are right. the 60W is 'idling' which makes it a lot less impressive.

Most laptops don't use anywhere near 65w under load though. The reason the power bricks are that high is so that you can charge and use at the same time.

For example, a typical laptop with a yonah/merom processor and intel integrated graphics (i.e. most laptops built in the last 2 years) use around 30-35w under load.

Now that ITX mobos are coming out, will it replace ATX or M-ATX at least?
