ok. will post results then. thanks again!
hm, could not flash it. it says, this version is already installed. "Lookup" still takes me to 570-specs, so nothing changed.
sorry to revive old dead thread.
but this is exactly my problem.
today I bought Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 4GB
the seller says he use it only for gaming not mining,
but he bought it from someone else,
which I think definitely for mining (because of dirty condition, weird bios, broken bios switch, etc).
it's working normaly,
I could game with it for couple hours,
but it run so hot up to 85 degree celcius,
I guess it just because dried thermal paste.
then I fired up FurMark to begin stress test, and it is makes me wonder, it shows as RX 570, not RX 580!
From FurMark I click GPU Shark to get more info, and yes it also shows RX 570.
GPU-Z in the other hand, it shows as RX 580,
but when I tried to press locate button, it goes to RX 570 techpowerup database, not RX 580!
here the screenshot I took from multiple hardware identification apps,
the red one says it is RX 580 characteristic, the green one says it's RX 570.
because I only have one bios state (bios switch already broken), what BIOS should I flash?
I only have one shot to get it right.
