i just downloaded it via sapphiretech, and it says version 3.0.3 on the link but program is showing 3.0.5
still no voltage control....
o well i use rbe anyways, msi afterburner uninstalled, as this has decent custom fan control.
lets test stability :) brb

i would like to see power control via trixx.

i would like to see power control via trixx.

the limits would be +-20% just like in CCC, so no point really

Trixx is great. It only use 7.8mb of desktop ram. Can make easy OC beyond CCC limits for 6950. Powertune and Powerplay is working. Custom fan profile is very fast switching.

It becomes invisible once you set your OC and make it stay on startup. Great OC program deserves more hype.

EDIT: i could be wrong, but im pretty sure power play is @ 0%, and im not getting the most out of my overclock, 50 mark increase for those two clocks...think it would be more?

i want to remove ccc, as i find i get instability when messing with both ccc, and 3rd party overclock software, i will try with trixx, and see how it goes, brb

edit: nope, there is something forcing it to 0% and keeping the fan enabled at 50%, although ccc fan setting isnt over riding trixx
sorry for double post

Seems people are enjoying TriXX 3.0.3 (or whatever the hell version it really is because the Rapidshare link says it's already hit the 10 download limit.
Hang on a min so can I use trixx to lock the memory clock to 1200mhz and it does not matter what I do or run it will not change from that setting from that
You should be able to do this with any overclocking utility. Have you ever tried turning on Overdrive in CCC? It should lock your memory speeds at whatever the slider is set at. I must have misread your earlier question and thought you wanted to lock the CPU and MEM speeds.

ok, i seem to have a newer version (3.0.5) which has "control" over ccc overdrive.

this works, yes, but, when the computer is restarted CCC overdrive "power control settings" return to 0%, and is locked by Trixx.

closing trixx allows slider to be set at desired setting.
open trix, and it re locks @ that setting.

memory of overdrive after computer restart lost... is this a bug or intended?

mind you my version trixx 3.0.5 did not come with an installer, and runs "as is".
perhaps this memory is "lost" after trixx closes(restart) due to no ini, cfg, reg settings etc?

i have some tests i would like to run, but not if the "memory" isnt working as intended.
thanks

after 2 restarts no, it returns to 0%

i set clocks in trixx to 800/1250 to test.
apply, save to profile.
exit trixx
open ccc and verify power control is @ +20% (yes)
restart trixx, check clocks (800/1250 good)
check ccc (+20% good)
restart
check trixx clocks (good)
check ccc power slider (+20% good)
restart puter
check trixx clocks (good)
check ccc (Fail! power slider @ 0%)

edit: seems to be doing it after every restart now. /shrug

Uhhh I guess I'm going to be just trying this when I get home (i.e. Trixxx clocking my 6850 Crossfire). It's blue screened like ten times already this install so what's one more?

go settings and make it load on windows start up, minimise, restore clocks.
Trixx become invisible after this.

This is Trixx i using now. Yes clocks in CCC disappear. but i use trixx to change clocks and fan speed so it is ok. Powertune slider still work is enough

Nope, same shit with "3.0.5". I even made sure Afterburner and old Trixxx removed including reg keys and set Overdrive to default and locked it.

This is BS. That Warrior7 dude tells me W1z helped him with a fix like 10 days ago but he wont/can't freaking share it. Do you hate me or something? I really don't understand wtf is going on. I just want to clock my goddamn cards to 1000/1200 like I did when they were individually installed.

Hi there , I have tried over drive and it's worse as when I set the mem clock to 1200mhz and apply It drops to 300mhz and does not go to 1200mhz unless I use something that is gfx intensive ?

With over drive turned off it stops at 1200mhz but when I run videos or YouTube stuff it goes to 900mhz

I just can not seem to get the card to stop at 1200mhz mem clock when I do anything and the flicker is starting to get on my nerves.

Any ideas at all on how to lock this down, I have 10.12 drivers installed

Cheers all

If that is the same problem I use to have 11.1 seems to be good 11.1a drivers have an annoying mouse lag flaw. With the driver I think they same you are using when playing games it kept down clocking on me, not fun.

OMG. Ok will try that. I guess the main reason I got so upset was the lack of concrete information here and this is another good example. Why did I have to get pissed off to be told that?

Anyway, thanks I'll give it a shot. If I still blue screen then I guess there's something else up with my present OS install.

yep, try the 11.1a, there not bad, also try out this trixx program if you have a sapphire card.
not sure about previous versions but 3.0.5 "locks" ccc overdrive5 settings.

you need to make sure trixx is closed, unlock overdrive in CCC.
set "power control settings" to desired setting (i suggest +20% to prevent TDP downclocking, althought i didnt get any downlocking @ 0%, to each there own)
set fan to 50% and make sure its checked. (safety when trixx is closed)

run trixx, go to settings tab.
check - load on windows + andrestore clocks, synch cards if you have crossfire, set clocks on change, disable ULPS (moreso usefull with crossfire)

go to Fan Control tab.
check - custom
set the 3 squares to desired fan behaviour
my profile (benching, loud but cool)

go to Overclocking tab.
set desired clocks
if using set clock on change it will set the clock instantly after changing the slider or using the +, - buttons, no need to apply, its auto.

i suggest creating a stock clock profile, then saving to profile slot 1 (left click, choose save)
then set overclock profile, save to button 2. left click save.
then to load profiles... left click load.

done

CCC will be locked (for the moment, restarting puter sometimes it goes to 0%) if you find ccc power control settings slider back to 0%, close trixx, set slider, open trixx, its locked again.
when trixx is open, it locks CCC to whatever the values were when trixx exe was ran.

downlocking is changing of "3D mode" to "2D mode". when there is no "gpu load" it will "downclock" this is normal behaviour
TDP downclocking is different. when gpu is at 100% and you se split second drops in gpu clocks.
not sure how to force "constant clocks"

screen flickering is from what i understand, a change in memory clocks. most liekly a driver bug giving refresh issue

yep with the Dec24 release.

Tho as he just pointed the new disable ULPS option I am wondering if you used that or not as part of your successful run with 3.0.5. Though Im not sure which release is "Dec 24" though thats obviously older than this one we are using now.

My Powertune dont go to 0% after i update my windows and reboot my puter. Only made 1 restart because i see no reason to repeated restart??
I can also change Powertune normally in CCC. Strange.
