AMD's recent free SimCity game bundle with most A8- and A10-series sub-$150 APUs baffled analysts, particularly with how AMD is bundling a gift with market price of $60, with products starting at $80. It looks like certain AMD add-in board (AIB) partners are striking similar deals with EA. A case in point is Sapphire, which decided to bundle the game with a special edition Radeon HD 7790 graphics card, which for now appears to be a Japan-exclusive. We're not sure how the SimCity inclusion affects the Never Settle bundle eligibility of the card, which should also fetch its owners Far Cry 3, and a 20% discount coupon for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. We don't imagine Sapphire to price its card significantly higher than its stock trim. The card itself looks identical to the HD 7790 2 GB the company recently announced, albeit with just 1 GB of memory, lacking a back-plate, and featuring reference AMD clock speeds of 1000 MHz core and 6.00 GHz memory.

so you can only use this card if you have a internet connection ?

and there are constant traffic collisions in the pcie lanes

Either this or all these cards comes with special defective features and you can't get more than 50% of performance unless you pay extra after purchace or pirate the BIOS.

Better be called Radeon HD 7790 DRM Edition

BAHAHAHAHA
I was coming in here to post something like this, but you all have it pretty covered.
+1 internets for you all.

this should sell about as good as the game, then everyone will want to return it after loading it for the 1st time.

fail!

Should bundle with free months of Comcast Internet instead.

Affordable card packaged with 2 games and a coupon. Great deal imo.

You should be given a discount for getting SimCity with it. Even if EA subsidized the card, they would still make money due to their focus on microtransactions.

EA has the right to make money on a product. No one is forcing you to buy the card, it's just nice that is comes bundled with games. It adds value.

So EA sold a bundle of codes to Sapphire to get some money back on a game ment to be played with a mouse/pc but made for a console. Yeah I guess thats the only way they'll get a return.

I heard the 2.0 patch for the drivers makes everything really shitty.

Sapphire and EA proudly presents, overclocking with micro-transactions now $0.10 for every mhz...
