Japanese cooling specialist Scythe presents under the name of "Stronger" its new power supply series. These power supplies are now available with an output of 500 W, 600 W and 700 W both as a plug-in version with cable management for comfort, as well as a standard version with sleeved mesh cables.

The Stronger power supplies meet the 80Plus certification (at 20/50/100% load) and are based on an updated version of the proven technology that was already used in the Kamariki 4 series. In design terms, the Stronger series is also admirable. Simple yet stylish, matt black finish fits perfectly into the overall visual image of most PC cases. The 45 to 55 cm long cable strands of the plug-in, as well as the standard version are completely encased in durable, black mesh tube.

For cooling, a controlled 140 mm fan from the proven Scythe Slip Stream series is used. In addition, users have the option to connect two case fans directly to the power supply. These fans are then individually controlled by an integrated, intelligent fan controller according to the load and the temperature of the PSU. At the back of the power supply, a special honeycomb structure ensures optimum air flow. Furthermore, three-year warranty is granted by Scythe on the new Stronger series.

Scythe Stronger power supply series is now available for the following MSRP:
Stronger 500 W Plug-in: 58,40 EUR (excluding VAT) / US$ 75.00 (excluding TAX)

"Stronger" than what?

Stronger? Is Scythe using the same marketing firm as Gainward with the "GOOD" product?

Yes. Soon we'll see Cooler Master Storm Series Sweet case, AMD Phenom III X8 Fast, and so on.

harder, better, faster, stronger, GOODer.

and Nvidia GTX 580 Hawt?

stronger in the fact that you could probably butter it up with peanut butter & it will still keep running after the fans jammed up & the overheated components have melted away all the 'butter' from the peanut which has then caused a small short somewhere on the PCB. but voltage still remains as stable as trying to take a piss in the north pole.

some shit just wasnt made to make sense unless its a marketing gimmick of some sort.

i may have missed it but who is the manufacture of the psu's? like the actual builders

I bet Scythe will hire Brittany Spears to sing a marketing jingle for "Stronger". The company is Japanese, so I am sure they have open minds.

Were gonna get confused between PC parts and Porn

I am sure you jizzed on your pants a few times after seeing particularly sexy warez, don't deny it.

I guess english sounds cool; I can't imagine this: Scythe launches their new "Mon amour PSU series"

back on topic - the PSU looks like its a rebranded Seasonic S12 or one of the many similar rebrands floating out there.

their probably get made by the same people, with the same components, from the same factory. but marketed differently to make you think that their product is different from the other brand - but asside from the relable its 99.9% same old same old - I bet if you scrape off some of the paintwork on the side you'l probably be able to see Antecs 'go faster' stripes on the side from their TP series (Ok maybe not, but you get my point)

& with that said - its probably a pretty solid peice of hardware.

the next manufacturer will probably make a "nice" series... maybe even one called an "ok" or a "not bad" series

I was over branding when they started the Be Quiet!

GenericTek releases their new two hundred and fifty watt 'not really reliable at all, suitable for a workstation' value series power supply unit.

Model: GTK-250-NRRAA.SFAW

:roll::roll:

If its the same as this, then OEM is Enhance according to UL code

i hope no one can come up with badder edition,

and btw maybe they borrow this name from kamen rider tv series you know(because Scythe came from japan), kamen rider stronger.

That would actually be pretty usefull. ^^

At least their rating system would make more sense to a consumer's point of view, instead of all those weirds names and XXX GT LE Professional HX gimmicks. :)

Anyone know the OEM of these PSUs?
