Japanese cooling expert Scythe presents the second version of its Thermal Elixer high performance thermal grease. After collecting the user's feedback and experience with the first Thermal Elixer, Scythe engineers created an improved thermal grease solution. Thermal Elixer 2 utilizes the Pure Aluminum Particle Hybrid Technology and is based on high quality components. Thanks to this combination a significant reduction of thermal resistance to 0,013 K/W has been achieved. In spite of the improved performance, no compromise has to be made in terms of easy appliance.

Scythe was especially careful in the development process of the Thermal Elixer 2. The goal was to create an extremely powerful, yet easy to use solution that omits electrical conductivity. All the aforementioned advantages are combined in the final product. Thermal Elixer 2 offers very low dry-out characteristics and is made for long term use. The thermal grease can be used for both CPU and GPU in the temperature range from -20 to 120 degrees Celsius. Similar to the predecessor, the new solution comes in a user-friendly plastic syringe tube but offers 5 grams of thermal grease instead of 3,5 grams. There is no burn-in period required, which means that Thermal Elixer 2 is reaching its maximum potential within a short time after appliance.



The new Scythe Thermal Elixer 2 (SCTE-2000) thermal interface material solution is available as of today at the MSRP of 4,60 EU (w/o VAT/TAX).

Would one consider this one to be better than MX-4? I've used that for ages because it was just a great all around thermal paste.
 
I stick with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
 
Meh, 3.5 W/mK.
No wonder they use thermal resistance numbers instead of conductivity in the PR..

Me too, thats why I recently bought it for my new build :D
A little hard to get here, only found 1 online shop, but thats enough and using it now!:rockout:

On my own first PC build back in 2006 or so I used MX2 paste, my dad took over my PC in 2009 and I only had laptops after that and never used thermal paste again till about a week ago because I have build a PC again, on the internet I found the best paste (getting lowest temperatures) was with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and so I bought it for my new build.:)

Just purchased some Thermal Grizzly, never even knew about this stuff until you mentioned it, had to go read up on it! I still use MX-2 on pretty much everything, used to use OCZ Freeze until it disappeared completely off the market which was a shame, did like that stuff.

Nice one for the mention pal! I am now intrigued on trying this Thermal Grizzly out. :)

Aye not on the cheap side for the amount you get but I think it's about the same for 30g MX-2 (£12) which has lasted forever but it probably won't get used now heh. Looks like a good choice looking at that link though, results are quite impressive for a paste and it tops the chart before the LM's. Very nice stuff. Well, haven't taken apart the old rig and done some testing for a wee bit, will have to now and see how this Thermal Grizzly fares when it arrives. Getting excited over some thermal paste - not had that feeling that for quite a few years. :P

My temps while FPU stress testing, highest temp was just 41 degrees celsius!:D (ambient temp 19.5) :
