Sea Sonic, a world leader in PC and industrial power supply design and manufacturing, announces exclusive sales and distribution cooperation with Wooting, the company behind the world's first and most advanced analogue mechanical keyboard for the PC gaming market.

Sea Sonic's global presence and strength in the American and European retail channels provide a strong platform to give consumers better access to Wooting products. Calder Limmen, Co-founder and CEO explains in great detail what the collaboration means for Wooting in his latest blog post article.

The partnership between Wooting and Sea Sonic is a perfect fit. Both companies are the front-runners in their respective domains where their collaboration is strengthened by their core beliefs: innovation, performance and quality.

Two years ago, three PC gaming enthusiasts came together and raised over EUR 135,000 on Kickstarter to design, build and deliver the world's most advanced analogue mechanical keyboard with the goal of making analogue mechanical keyboards the industry standard. Wooting has since cultivated a loyal and active community that swears by this technology.

"We feel excited to work together with Sea Sonic. Their global presence, experience and network will strengthen our weak areas as a small company. This allows us to place more focus on the future adaptations of analogue input technology, product experience and our awesome customers." - Calder Limmen, Co-founder and CEO of Wooting.

Since 1975, Sea Sonic has been designing and producing PC power supplies keeping a strong focus on innovation, performance and quality. The company prides itself in many first-to-market achievements while placing utmost importance on being customer-centric in channel development and after sales support.

"We believe that by working with Wooting, the forerunner and the best company behind analogue input technology, Sea Sonic not only supports and invests in technology advancement, but also helps innovation reach a wider audience." - Vincent Chang, CEO of Sea Sonic Electronics Co., Ltd.

Together, Wooting and Sea Sonic present to the public a revolutionized gaming and typing experience and provide world-class support to their global customers and business partners.

why does the 1st pic show a cord from the KB to the psu ???? Does it draw that much power or whats the deal ?

please explain :)

A mechanical keyboard at that. Something about the springs maybe?

I think you'd need a lot of meth to type to the point that you even need an OC... but yeah. Ok.

Hopefully words come out.

The picture is wrong, in reality this keyboard requires to be plugged directly to wall to be powered properly. This way you get not just RGB experience but you can overclock it to CMYK leds and use photoshop to create your own profiles. You may use gimp as well but then CMYK profiles may be impossible to create, in best case scenario they will be imprecise then you will better stick to RGB profiles.

They're not mechanical, they're optical and can do analogue input.

Oh it's that one? Cool. Better fit then IMO, a run of the mill mechanical keyboard would have been a bit meh.

(it still has springs though)

Contacted Wooting and they said the keyboard has high powered laser back lighting so it draws up to 250w and there fore most be connected directly to the psu.

Toasty.

For the price they are asking for this keyboard I could get this Bunn 10 Cup Coffee maker @ Walmart. Will it make better testing coffee then my current Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Keurig K SINGLE cup compatible that I got for FAR less? Doubt it. A device that is only good at doing ONE primary thing shouldn't be a waste of money. We got enough junk coming from China filling up our landfills here in the USA. /end rant.

It's very long time until someone show non RGB durable PBT analog mechanical keyboard with new switches.
Then for around 3 years I could think about upgrade.

Wooting is a Dutch company... But just like most American companies, they currently manufacture in China.

I think your coffee pods add more to the landfills than keyboards do.

If this brings down the cost for Wooting I will buy one, Analog keyboard gaming is a very cool thing imo.

I almost bought the new Wooting Two in black switches, $150 free shipping, but then I found a steel frame kingston hyperx cherry mx blue keyboard brand new off amazon for $39 on a lightning sale. so i decided to save $110 :( i love blues best for typing so yeah, i think the red or black switch is best for Wooting One and Wooting Two, don't want blues in analog. ruins the gaming part of it.
