Has more to do with the motherboard it seems, since yours can do 2000+ fclk now there is good hope a new 3D also will :)

It still helps, in some games even the 5800X3D can gain about 10% fps going from 3600 xmp to 3800 tuned, Cyberpunk for instance. In most games gains are more in the 0-5% gains.

That seems like a clever move from AMD. Selling the last 7nm CPUs without discount should be more profitable than selling more new CPUs based on the significantly pricier 5nm silicon.
