Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II: DLSS vs. FSR vs. XeSS Comparison

The things you've pointed out aren't DLSS specific, that's a combination of me disabling certain post processing effects and using photo mode, changing the depth fo field and zoom substantially to get right in close to the model, closer than the game does in regular game play.

So what is DLSS doing there then?

Upscaling the image from 1440p to 4k, like the other upscalers. The 'issues' you mentioned with the screenshot I posted exist with other upscaling solutions too, only with varying softness/sharpening and motion artefacts not captured in a screenshot, but the 'peach fuzz', shiny look etc are what the game looks like with the aforementioned disabling of post processing and my personal choice to zoom in and significantly alter the depth of field in photo mode.

Can you post the same screen shot without DLSS?

I've since moved on in the game and am still on playthrough #1, I can try with where I'm up to, or when I finish this playthrough I'll circle back to try recreate it. I'll tag you when i do that, could be today or a few days from now.

I got the upscalingsharpen option to work in the Ghost of T game. It's in the registry for settings. If anyone curious and using Nvidia could use dlss and check what they set the upscalingsharpen value to so I can match it for Xess id appreciate it.
