Mildly dead thread, but I’ll still reply incase someone find this in the future.
I upgraded from a 5 3600 to a 5 5600x and the upgrade is well worth it.
My performance in cs2 went from an unstable 120-160 fps to a stable 160-170 fps (with g-sync and nvidia reflex + boost) highest settings 1080p. Just to make an example.
Also I’ve not seen it mentioned, that not only do you get a higher clock speed, but you also get zen3 instead of 2 further increasing performance and, provided you can utilise it, pcie 4.0 instead of 3.0.
Also I heavily agree that userbenchmark is very unreliable, they have changed the way they grade performance multiple times to favour intels single core performance, they practically ignore all of the issues intel has and bash amd regardless of how good the product actually is, not to mention their mysterious efps that no one but them knows how to calculate.
As for alternatives, youtube comparisons are best, but lately i’ve been using technical city, seems reputable. Correct me if I’m wrong.
