Polish enthusiast hardware maker with an 'ear' out for silence, SilentiumPC announced its Supremo M1 Platinum 700W power supply. It boasts of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rating, and features a semi-modular cabling layout. To begin with, the unit features a single +12V rail design, with a single 58A rail. Its OEM is High Power Technology. The selling point of this PSU, however, is the behavior of its 135 mm fan, which stays off under most low-to-moderate loads, and spools up only under stress (over 300W of power draw). The PSU should be completely silent under most non-gaming / productivity use, even with a modern CPU running at 100% load. Cabling includes a 24-pin ATX, 4+4 pin EPS, four 6+2 pin PCIe, ten SATA, four Molex, and one Berg by adapter. It's priced at US $130.

Meh. Bring on the Titanium certified PSUs. Platinum certified PSUs is old tech now.

I will settle for nothing less than Plutonium for my next build.

I am happy with Platinum for right now, 2 years from now Whatever is out I will upgrade. I got an amazing deal on a brand new EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 via a friend and love it.
