Hi, i have a question....

What is the recommended fps in skyrim until game engine is starting to break and glitches start to appear ?

90-100fps or less ?

For me 60 is not acceptable, but 165 is to much for that game engine.

Software A lot.

Use frame generation at 60FS to get 120 FPS with no game engine issues,

With mods you can run whatever FPS you want.

Assuming you're using the 64 bit version of Skyrim based on the FO4 engine.

Papyrus-safe fps in Skyrim and Fallout 4 for long term use is always 60. Never more. Skyrim SE (Anniversary is just an all-access pass for Creation Club paid mods on Skyrim SE) is a little more tolerant towards high fps, but if you want to ensure long-term save stability, play at 60 fps. Fallout 76 scripting engine is server sided, can run it uncapped.

Steevo's advice to use frame generation to get 120 fps while keeping 60 fps timings in the engine is sound advice, if this technology existed at the time it would have been priceless for me back in the days...

Now i'm using 100hz locked by radeon chill otherwise it will go to 165hz. Seems to be working good so far. It's a big step up over 60hz. (No mods)

How do you even use that frame generation think in older games like skyrim there is no options for that ? Only game where i tested frame generation is in The last of us part 1 with RX 7800 XT. In that game when fps is higher than 100fps it runs better/smoother when frame generation is turned off. My first impressions aren't that great, but maybe game optimization is garbage.

Have you tried SSE Display Tweaks?
I'm lazy for mods :) At least bethesda fixed widescreen issues in less than 20 years. Imagine that it took them less than 20 years!

Please search for the proper option in AMD Adrenalin for your game (make sure you have a fresh version of it).
"Fluid Motion Frames 2"
Or there is a non-free software for that purpose on Steam (but the game should be ran in borderless window mode)
