Skyrim becomes 'Fastest Selling Title in Steam’s History'

As of now i havnt had problems with Skyrim, Crossfire support is flaky tho.

Yeah but in the big picture Crossfire is not even needed. I run it absolutely maxed out at 1920x1080 and FPS is a solid 60 at all times.

I will say the interfaces is the only clumsy bit, but easy enough to get used to despite it.

One platform out of 3... 4 if you count the wii... THIS JUST IN COD outperforms skyrim on WII !!!!

Yeah well I did say "basic intelligence of humanity" but the argument could be made that anyone playing on a console instead of a PC (without a reason like finances) isn't all that smart to begin with. :p

108 hours for me and still there are times when i feel I'm inside an work of art(well, when i don't have occasional slowdowns in towns)
Edit: the price wont help MW3 sell more copies,is the most expensive game on steam>59,99€ <all the other new releases cost 10€ less.

If only skyrim does fusion with deus ex....

The question I have is...Is it buggy, and if so, do you anticipate Bethesda keeping up on the needed updates? I sort of suspect the answer to both of these is yeah. but I'm trolling for an actual answer.

Yes, it has bugs. All games do.
Yes, Bethesda is very good about addressing problems, and has even admitted that their first patch was rushed and are taking more time on updates so they do not cause cross platform problems.
What Bethesda does not do, the modding community will take care of as soon as the modding tools are released.

In my opinion, The ES series games are worth every dime you pay for them. While they are not perfect, there is nothing else like them.

Yes! Have a futuristic game with the openess of Skyrim. Call it Shadowrun ;)

Come on! Don't speek ill about that horrible game! Wish I could take that name out of my brain and place something with "dark unicorns".... ;)

It's hardly surprising, because all the people who have been waiting for a "sequel to Oblivion" (which was TES IV) have been waiting for 5 years now.

Buggy... well, you can't expect much. It's an enormous game, with radiant quests (ie they change according to your gameplay), totally open-ended and non-linear.

I had bought Oblivion a year after release in 2007. The game ran perfectly for me then, no bugs, no glitches. But upon searching their official forums for the posts made at the time of the game's release.... o.m.g....

Something similar happened to me for Fallout New Vegas (though not a Bethesda title). When I bought it on release I had my fps dropping to the teens. A couple of game patches and driver updates later.... bam it was up to 60 fps nearly everywhere, and dropped to the high 40's only in the Vegas Strip with all settings fully maxed out at 2560x1440.

I'm perfectly confident that within a month or 2 Skyrim would be running perfectly for everyone (hopefully also me) without any bugs or glitches, and at a high fps.

Yes, Microsoft ruined the game. I don't even recognize its existence. Shadowrun started as an RPG like Dungeons & Dragons. It would make a perfect futuristic Skyrim/Fallout type game.

minecraft bad thought right there..

Yeah, I wish it was done better.... I would love to see if they spun them together... I know a friend that won't even touch it because it's "midevil"...

I think the OP is misleading, I would have put money on Skyrim outselling MW3 for PC. MW sales on PC vs console are piddly. Yes they are still a good amount compared to other PC games, but PC MW fanbase is small in size compared to the rest of the community.

ive been playing skyrim since it came out...i dont understand this "took an arrow to the knee" reference. is there something i missed in the game?

maybe they think about making another console port and starting to give some love back to the pc fan base i own all elderscroll games on pc and im saad to see that they went all console on the game and with crappy menu system and baad optimization...

Just my 2 cents :D

You won't understand until you take an arrow to the knee.

Morrowind is still the best in the series in my opinion.

Don't forget those that own the game, but don't want to run it through steam. The razor hack bypassed steam.

That would be me.

If there is dota 2 available for purchase on steam then you people see .. anyway lets see next year

HL3 will beat it ^_^

maybe the PC may even be given its own interface.
Someone is workin on a UI overhaul called SkyUI:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863

Bought mine on 11/11/11 and have logged over 200 hours on it. Haven't done that many hours in that short a period of time since Oblivion five years ago. Yeah, PC gaming is dying.
Got mine on release day as well, but only managed around ~100 hrs so far, need to stop sleeping and going to work i guess '__'

Oblivion consumed 300+ hrs on me, not including the other characters i made '__'

Some folks have been having issues, in my case its minor and only few crashes so far and most of them me tweaking the game lol. And im not really surprised at the bugs, with so much going on on a massive gameworld, there had to e one small probability that some things would miss to connect, either graphical or quest or ai related.
Bethesda has been rolling patches since initial release, and there was supposed to be an upcoming update that adds Large address aware to make us of more RAM (~4GB)

I also use the SkyUI helps alot for US PC users and gives it a more keyboard & mouse style ensted of the Noob console controller style

Also if you want the most out of skyrim i would follow this guide
STEP - Skyrim Total Enhancement Project
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11

help the game alot with graphic enhancement and sound enhancement and extra bug fixes and performance fixes pretty much a full guide and list of mods you can use to make it look and sound the best it can be and run the best it can untill the CK is released and further patches are released i have followed that guide since i got the game and it helps alot

But I thought no one bought single player games anymore....

^um wrong thread? D:
Edit: gone '__'
