Saying that more detail isnt always better, although I disagree, doesn't answer the question of whether or not dlss improves image quality or not, which was what we were arguing about. You might not prefer more detail, but that wasn't the argument.

To be honest it's not really worth having a debate about it, whoever disagrees about dlss improving image quality is doing so in bad faith imo. Which is the case with everything nvidia does...
Not worth a debate and yet here we are on page 12 with half of it spent debating the very thing you can't let go of apparently. Jesus man
By now its starting to look pretty damn desperate. I also like how you decide for others what the argument is now.

The argument was whether or not dlss improves image quality. You questioned whether or not better image quality is... Better? Don't you see it's a completely different point?

All I see is a troll by now. I get it though, with a poll result like this, damage control must be done. Must deflect and FUD this into the ground!

Get a life dude

Amd wins all polls. Been the case for like as long as I can remember. Polls aren't sales though. People that actually spend their money, yeah, by overwhelming majority they buy nvidia. Has been the case for at least 10 years now.

Voting on a poll is free, when it comes to actually pay money for your "preference" I don't see people being very willing. The steam database makes very obvious what's going on.

I wouldn't call this a resounding victory, and the success % was way below the disappointment % for a long time. AMD launching 7800XT has turned things around is my guess, along with the generally better launch state on AMD hardware for quite a few games lately. Also, RDNA3 perf and stability has improved substantially since launch.

Perhaps you're just seeing real sentiment here, and sure, it may not always reflect in buying decisions, but its sentiment nonetheless: people apparently, generally hate Ada's guts at this point and they think more favorably of RDNA3 in general, but the overall consensus across BOTH brands/generations is that barely anyone is fully happy. Also I think and agree a lot of voters aren't buyers. But they don't have to be, freedom of thought & speech and all that.

Exceptions exist. Stop trying to make your personal exceptional stance the rule for everyone, you might learn a thing. Also, we're now back on topic? Would be nice.

I'm sure amd was winning polls back in the pascal era. I'm sure it was winning back in the fx cpu era. Amd fans are the vocal, very very vocal minority in every community.

Don't you find it weird that sales don't really lineup with your polls? Im fairly confident the 4090 alone has probably outsold all rdna3 combined.

Where is that bad faith? With that mindset, one could also say that the other side has bad faith by trying to sell Nvidia technologies to those who are not interested. Every coin has two sides.

Ah, so it's an AMD vs Nvidia thing again? And here I thought we were talking about upscaling as a technology all along. :shadedshu:

Of course you can claim I'm arguing on bad faith. Nobody prevents you from doing so. It's just my opinion cause it's so obvious how much better image quality is with dlss that I can't fathom people actually deny it.

And that's absolutely fine. Everybody can have an opinion as long as you're not trying to push yours as hard fact.

I wasn't the one that brought up the poll.
What has that got to do with you trying to prove the superiority of upscaled vs native images for the last 2 or so pages?
Or is it about DLSS specifically? (in which case you need DLSS vs FSR, not DLSS vs native screenshots)

You told me that we agree to disagree, and so I dropped it. Then I got some polls shoved in my face and was called a troll.

As ive said, very vocal minority, attacking other users and patting it's other on the back. It's fine, been the case for 10.years at least with amd "users"

Well done folks, mission accomplished. 13 pages of fighting, plenty of reported posts, and a lot of BS being thrown around. I'm shutting it down for now.

The other option is to start giving points to people, who will then complain about it. Maybe that would be a good thing, because right now, the level of civil discourse and logical debate in AMD/NV threads is rock bottom.
