No not yet, there is so many to chose from.I will get one of thouse cheap kits ,and see where i go from there.

No i don,t think so,it is all right for stuff that fits in the letterbox.
ah okey, i bought like 500+ random things from them, they never not helped me, if i got wrong item or broken. Money was always returned to me in 2 days, if something was wrong with the purchsed item FYI.

I get your point there, but bigger stuff i get click and collect.

Few soldering irons can handle the big ground planes of mother boards.

Desoldering Pump 230V : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

might work (it's the hollow tip that helps)
It is cheap but i would have to buy other stuff for it.

Get on amazon.com and look at reviews
I see you have a forum on here *How to solder*i will check it out. :)

I think i will get this one

Soldering Iron Kit, Tabiger 60W Welding Tools with Adjustable Temp 200-450°C and ON/Off Switch, 5 Soldering Tips, Desoldering Pump, Solder Wire, Wire Stripper Cutter, Stand, Tool Case

14 in 1 £15 loads of reviews i know you can,t beleave them all

The problem with Ali Expres you can,t say you want the lowest price of something like you can on eBay. :( And then the postage varies so much. You can get something that is the lowest price but when you pay the postage the the item comes out more exspencive.o_OThats one of the reasons i use eBay.I am onlly using Amazon because they have given me a 30 day trial for Prime.I don,t buy enough stuff on there to warrent paying for a year Prime membership.

i always considder the PP, they try hard to sell low and PP makes up the cost for the low price. but i´m well aware of it and dont bite. :)

That switch in the middle of the cable must be a PITA if you start moving it around.

The only coupons I get from AliExpress are for like $2-$3 off $100. But you cant beat alot of their deals with a stick compared to Amazon. Anything wcing gear from Byski and Barrow is wayyy cheaper vs Amazon. The 3-4 week wait stinks but it's worth it if your buying a large quantity of fittings and a GPU block.

The soldering kit I picked up from Amazon was like $25 but it included everything needed to get started. I did end up replacing the iron with a cheap Weller because the one that came with the kit was junk. Sometimes its better not to go whole hog with gear until you know what your strengths and weaknesses happen to be. My particular soldering weakness is I'm just not very good at it! So it worked out perfectly only spending $40 total.

I have a <$40 'import' kit off eBay. I think it's supposed to be a Hakko 936 clone/derivative.
(nearly identical to my unit from 4-5 years ago: ) https://www.ebay.com/itm/234096664500
View attachment 306015
It's been dropped off shoulder-height shelves onto concrete and ran over by a 400+lb power wheelchair+occupant.
Still works, even if part of the plastic casing is broken off and rattling around inside the power unit.
I have the Hakko 936 that I bought new off of Ebay from a woman that retired from the electronic industry for 75$ shipped over 15 years ago, and it still works like a champ.

I would go for something like this and just buy the tweezers and cutters separately and the solder and flux as well. You will get better quality and a more flexible setup for soldering.
