For 20% more money (460 vs 550) you get ~25% more performance. I don't see the link, so I don't know which model exactly are you referring to

I added the link. Sorry!

If you want a GPU you can stick with, the other GPUs choices don't even come close to the RX6800. Basically a slightly faster 3070 Ti that doesn't have to worry about VRAM in the future. Barring the current controversy about the December drivers (and no one knows the true cause), RX6000 drivers are mature enough at this time that Nvidia "driver advantage" doesn't mean much.

550EUR seems roughly around the price where I last saw RX6800 here in Canada. Doesn't seem like a screaming deal, but 6800/6800XT/6900XT/6950XT have been disappearing from the market.

I'd pick up a 6800 in a heartbeat over the 3060Ti/3070/3070Ti or 6700XT/6750XT.

Thanks for your opinion :)

Thanks for your opinion :)

Sapphire's AIB model cards are always excellent quality. Plus you get the free game bundle with RX6000 cards right now, if that's your thing.

The thing about VRAM (3070 Ti vs 6800, 3060 Ti vs 6700XT) is that in the vast majority of games, extra VRAM just being there will not provide you with any meaningful performance advantage. ie. 12GB doesn't make the 6700XT any more of a 4K card than 3060 Ti, just because it has 12GB of GDDR6 over 192-bit

But god forbid there ever is a game at 1440p or 4K that DOES require more than 8GB......hence why it's really hard to recommend the 3070 Ti against a similarly priced 6800 if it's available.

Generally 6800 is also a bit stronger than the 3070 Ti anyway, where DLSS is not available. Efficiency is much better on the Radeon, 3070 Ti can be undervolted to be a bit better (I ran 1980@0.931V for about 200-250W vs. 290W stock) but it's not like the 6800 can't be undervolted too.
