If I've ever seen a form over function type design; that monitor stand surely is it. Why would anybody want their height adjustment to also bring their monitor closer? Ridiculous. Then it also takes up so much vertical and horizontal space by being so diagonal. In that, it covers more room than it needs to in order to support the monitor just to look cool. The worse kind of gamer marketed product.

That's a USB 3.0 Type-B port, not Ethernet.
The FALD is only 96 zones, but at least a step up compared to regular edge-lit displays.

Because most people don't want a 48"+ """monitor""" on our desks. Some people value their neck muscles, ligaments and bones, and and prioritize ergonomics and physical comfort.

As @TheLostSwede said, that's a USB-B uplink port for the USB hub, not ethernet. IMO this shows they're taking their new pc gaming brand seriously, as KVM functionality and USB-C makes it clear this isn't mainly a console focused monitor.




Imo, this looks like one of the better monitor offerings out there right now. Even 96-zone FALD is far, far superior to the 16-zone edge lit backlights of the "best" HDR gaming monitors now (except that $4000 Asus), and the featureset is surprisingly up to date. Real HDR, good resolution and refresh rate, KVM, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C makes this a near-complete offering that beats out nearly everything else in terms of features. And while there's no Swedish pricing yet, the US price is decent at least.

Real HDR, good resolution and refresh rate, KVM, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C makes this a near-complete offering that beats out nearly everything else in terms of features. And while there's no Swedish pricing yet, the US price is decent at least.

Yup, the typical 16 or 8 zones on edge lit monitors are looking pretty embarassing about now. 96 zones isn't great but it's something. The question I have is if this monitor will have it's price fluctuate and drop as time goes on or if the price will be mostly constant like with consoles?

The current crop of 4k gaming monitors launched with prices not too dissimilar but through frequent sales and time most are now around the 600 to 700$/€ marks (even the lg 27gp950 which is usually more expensive), this sony inzone at 900$ (€ ?) is not bad compared to the competition but if the price doesn't move while the competition keeps cutting prices (and eventually also launch competing products) it will be tough to stand out (altough granted they will always have the marketing advantage of being the playstation monitor)

You're right, I forgot those two $~1700 Viewsonic MiniLED ones that I've been drooling over lately (and didn't Cooler Master show off one as well?). Still way out of my price range though, and I don't think I'd say there are "plenty" of options. A handful?

The CM is supposed to be around $1100, so still a fair bit more, but it does at least have 576 zones of FALD.
There's actually a surprisingly large amount of MiniLED displays supposedly already in the market, but most seem to be unavailable or yet to launch in retail.
Not all of them are 4K though and not all are gaming monitors.

I'm well aware of that, but as I said, this is highly subjective. For example, in all the comparisons I've done I've never been able to meaningfully tell the difference between a good FALD TV and an OLED outside of extreme scenes like star fields. I literally never notice blooming on our Samsung Q80, and that doesn't even have a huge amount of zones (though it's obviously many times more than this). There are too many variables in play to say unequivocally that it will be bad. For some uses, for some people? Absolutely. For all people and all uses? No. And, of course, when the alternative is 16 zones of edge lit backlighting, this will be vastly superior.

no matter you think of him and the channel, i really don't like them, i don't watch that channel, but they do make good monitor reviews, as far as i'm aware anyway, i did bought one on their recommendation and i'm happy. Any reason why you call him a scammer?
