Sony Toys with the Idea of Porting PlayStation-exclusives to PC

I would reward this with purchases. Like, $180 at least spread across Horizon, Spiderman, Last of Us.

i'm sure those games will be ported after 2-3 years later than the PS launch date...this way the exclusive titles will sell and when sales drops enough than is time to milk the pc users...they should have done this from the start..

I luck to haw fast internet, to update Batlefield 1 it needs 8 hours to download 30 gb update. and multiplayer is nonexistent for paid games.

Wouldn't console games look like crap on PC? I believe they are made with console performance restrictions in mind, and the graphics quality just isn't there.

Most console games are devved on PCs and then trimmed down to make them fit with the spec, so I bet its pretty easy to remove some blur and temporal AA and provide a higher native res. Because that is most of it really, at the same time, you see limitations in things like render distance / pop in and stuff. Nothing a slider can't fix.

I mean, that's how most ports now go about their business too.

Sekiro, now that is good example of what a straight console port for Sony's first party / Jap studios would look like. It has the clunky, low info density UI, huge UI elements, etc. But still sweet graphics.

Anyway I think this is Sony saying they will do timed exclusives from now on, for select titles. I'm quite sure they will keep hold of some handful of system sellers; I think some sort of staggered launch for the rest is going to be what we get. Like Heavy Rain and some others did lately.

Not a bad thing IMO, this can only be positive for the PC platform.

Next Console War is spectacular :pimp:

But PC gaming is dead! o_O
