Yes some SSD installed share lanes with one another, you should check this in the manual. You always have to check your bios settings also, that can also have influence. The soundboard may share lines with another device in your PC. I find it strange to say the least, i never had any problem with it, it just always work as it should. It gets power to start always at boot and enough time. It may not be the soundboard but your mobo that is not initializing the card at boot.
I think you will have to play with some settings in the bios to find out that.
And the most important; Never install an audio driver for the HDMI videocard when not needed. It sometimes interferes with an installed audio-card! Like Nvidia and AMD do this, remove that driver if you don't use HDMI sound for a monitor with speakers.
As said many audio-card interferes with installed drivers for HDMI sound to the monitor, specially Creative is sensitive for that. If installed, remove that driver. If you do that anyway, then your system sometimes take the HDMI audio as default, or another time your audio-card.
It names in Device Manager NVIDIA High Definition Audio. You can also try to temporarily disable it. I always do that, as i don't use monitor speakers. It should look like this. If it works,
then de-install that driver or just leave it disabled. In my case it works with both enabled, but on some mobo this does not work. In the screenshot it is disabled, the + sign means i can add and enable it.
In the audio windows settings, make sure it is set as default audio system. See screenshot.
