Maybe any of You had problem with his Z SE Card, that was not detected by Your system? In my situation it is Windows 10 22H2.
How Can I solve this problem.
It sometimes detect sound card, sometimes dont, it pretty random, but sometimes simple restart helps, so I dont need to power off completely the PC.

This can come because of old drivers that you need to update. Also Sound Blaster command need to be the latest version, check the screens below, it should be the same as me.

There is no one click solution for this problem, we need more info about your system and what PCIe slot you did put the card in, did you try another free slot already? The Soundblaster Z only need's an X1 line, be carefully that slot does not share lines with your GPU card or anything else, it must be a free slot. It even wil work in an x8 or x16 slot.

Hey.
Thank You for Your reply.
I must admit, that AFTER this update it's better and in 90% of system startups my sound card is properly detected and works.
BUT if it's not detected - the fastest solution is to put PC in to sleep mode for a second, and right after it's up it detected.

Did I tried with different slot? Yes, but its pretty much the same.
I have Gigabyte Z790 UD DDR5 motherboard.

Is the slot not interfering with an installed PCIe SSD, that also happens a lot, and they share lines. Clean the contacts from your card with IPA.

And also important; In windows 10 and 11 make sure Fast Startup is switched off! It does more harm then good for many programs! Especially Sound Blaster Command does not work well with this together.

"Is the slot not interfering with an installed PCIe SSD" - what You mean by that? My M2. NVME drive?
Did everything what You said, and Fast Startup was unchecked by myself earlier.
Still have to put PC to sleep to make the sound card enabled. It seems like it needs some power to start. Strange.

Yes some SSD installed share lanes with one another, you should check this in the manual. You always have to check your bios settings also, that can also have influence. The soundboard may share lines with another device in your PC. I find it strange to say the least, i never had any problem with it, it just always work as it should. It gets power to start always at boot and enough time. It may not be the soundboard but your mobo that is not initializing the card at boot.

I think you will have to play with some settings in the bios to find out that. And the most important; Never install an audio driver for the HDMI videocard when not needed. It sometimes interferes with an installed audio-card! Like Nvidia and AMD do this, remove that driver if you don't use HDMI sound for a monitor with speakers.

As said many audio-card interferes with installed drivers for HDMI sound to the monitor, specially Creative is sensitive for that. If installed, remove that driver. If you do that anyway, then your system sometimes take the HDMI audio as default, or another time your audio-card.

It names in Device Manager NVIDIA High Definition Audio. You can also try to temporarily disable it. I always do that, as i don't use monitor speakers. It should look like this. If it works,
then de-install that driver or just leave it disabled. In my case it works with both enabled, but on some mobo this does not work. In the screenshot it is disabled, the + sign means i can add and enable it.

In the audio windows settings, make sure it is set as default audio system. See screenshot.

Hello there,

so what I've seen so far, soundcard is visible in SoundBlaster Command practically 90% times if I turn speakers before powering up the PC.
BUT another thing is that even if the card is still not recognised, then putting PC to sleep fix the problem.
What Can I add is that I've disabled my motherboard drivers, monitor drivers (there are also speakers) and NVIDIA ones aswell.
Second thing is that looking into bios mode, my card is always displayed, so it must be some power problem, or OS problem, can't solve it so far.
