i think it all depends on the price point ^^
i have a 9400GT passive cooled by a crappy block of Al with some fins, no copper ;) 21€ street price was just too tasty not to buy :D and is a good improvment over intel IGP crappyness

& if there are any serious GPU stressing games to be run - a GT220 wont be the first card that pops into mind. lets face it - if theres crysis to be run - this badboy aint doin it

Does anyone else think the GT 220 needs to be about 50% of its cost and never, ever advertised as something that can even pretend to be anything described in the last paragraph of the press release???

Yesterday, I sold my XFX GT220 1GB DDR2. I used it to play Batman Arkham Asylum with PhysX on. Of course my 5850 did the hard work and the GT220 played its thing backstage (PCI-e x4). I liked very much the way PhysX was implemented on this game. The guy who I sold the GT220 wanted to play recent games with it, I don't hide facts and told him he'd have to sacrifice graphics quality and resolution, but after all, I think he knew what he was buying cause he was upgrading from a 8400GS.
 
i would like to see w1z review this. i know he only does the bleeding edge stuff but more and more these kinds of cards are becoming popular. you can use them in low power htpc rigs or as phyx cards. anyway, i would like to see how this plays 1080p h264 30 gig rips of movies.

should be fast enought for coreavc and cuda acceleration..... a review with different cpu's would be nice as the core2duo is cheaper these days and not bad at all for htpc with it's TDP:)
