Specs for AMD Radeon HD 7990 disclosed

How are they going to get double (?) the specs with a DECREASE in power consumed?

That would have to be one efficient card.

Whilst they I don't think they got the numbers right, smaller fab process means lower voltage normally, lower voltage means less power/heat.

That would have to be one efficient card.

It's not so hard. Take HD4870 and HD5850. They both consume about the same, maybe HD5850 even less in some scenarios, yet it has pretty much double the performance.
You have to take process optimizations, manufacturing process size decrease, new power saving technologies etc into account. And you get this as end result. Double the performance with same power consumption or even lower.

Most probably the SINGLE GPU will have 2560 Sps and dual will be 5120 SPs(I want a free G Card from u guys if I am right)

Doesn't ATi/AMD usually kick off a new series with the gamer's sweet spot cards (like the HD x8xx)?

they did with the 6 series... what did they do with the 5 series? launch their high end cards or mid range first? I honestly wasn't paying any attention to the graphics card market when the 5 series was released
