Yes it will when it is optimized. I run dual 290x and the alpha does not support xfire but runs fine with one 290x max settings @ 1440p for an alpha.

Yea but you are playing with out pbr buddy. Plus they have mainly been working on the structure in the first part of the alpha.

It will be interesting to see what performance gains/loss we get with PBR. On one hand it reduces the need for combining textures to give corrosion/wear effects on the materials but on the other hand it needs to calculate the changes to the surface of the materials. Looking at both sides it could improve performance adding PBR compared with the other solution (layering more and more textures and calculating where to add corrosion/wear).

Yea, I can't wait to see all the visual goody's they add to Cryengine3. It's a great foundation to start with any way. The great thing about it is that on low setting any card should handle it, but turning up the eye candy is a different story.

It does support Crossfire, just not by default.
In-game, press ~ to bring up the console, type "r_MultiGPU 1" without the quotations and hit enter. Unfortunately, you have to do this every time. Console commands are not part of the persistent settings yet.
Crossfire support aside, the hangar runs maxed on a single 7970 at 1440p without a hitch as well.

There's a holo-table behind it, you need to take a weapon off of a ship and put it on the firing range machine first, then sit in it.

Dl'ing now... 110KB/s...
I currently get solid 55fps with medium settings no GPU OC.

It can be very confusing to set up at the holo table I hate the design.

Grr the ball turret is still missing from super hornet and they've broken the lighting inside my constellation and freelancer in the deluxe hangar. Oh well time to go report those issues..

On the plus side the freelancer view is much nicer.

The quality of this vid turned out excellent. I used Fraps to record and Handbrake to encode. For Handbrake settings go to video tab and selected 'Constant Quality: 8 RF. 2560x1440p helps too.
