I'm considering upgrading my Colonel package to a Admiral package to get a Constellation and drop my Hornet. I thought this was possible but I cannot seem to find an option to do so.

Edit: Is the only way to reclaim my original package and then purchase another one? Will this still give me LTI and other perks of being an original backer?

Edit 2: It seems that reclaiming is the only way to upgrade. The one thread I found about it says he did not lose any perks of being an original backer. I am still a bit hesitant. I may just purchase the Rear Admiral Package first and the melt my Colonel Package.

Yup so I keep all of my Original Backer perks but I must melt my original package and purchase a new one.

The Drake Cutlass statue looks sweet!
i might just skip the hornet and get a cutlass.

I went for the cutlass over the freelancer for myself for the simple reason the cutlass is going to be at the front line. So LTI on that ship is a no brainier. The Freelancer on the other hand can be used in safe space so you don't need to be putting it in any real danger.

It was handed down by God to the PC master race... and it was good.

Basically, it's like an updated Wing Commander, then when you're done with the 50 or so missions, you're unleashed into a large open universe to do as you please. Really though, click on the links in the OP.

You can definitely do that after the missions... You will most likely be able to co-op during them.

I do play Eve... When my "have a life meter" is at a very low point. Really though, I've been waiting for this game since the last good Wing Commander game came out. I'm a fan.

The squadron 42 part seems to be the single player campaign. So.. you can do the dogfighting/ co-op in the multiplayer persistent universe part.

It's actually $5 cheaper but not beta or alpha. For Beta and Alpha access you need the $40 Digital Mercenary package.
