SteelSeries Announces Sensei Ten Gaming Mouse

SteelSeries today announced the release of the Sensei 10 gaming mouse. The Sensei Ten features the company's new TrueMove Pro sensor, co-designed in partnership with PixArt. The collaboration speaks of a resulting sensor that manages to capture perfect 1:1 movement, a precision of 18,000 CPI and a 450 inches-per-second (IPS) tracking speed. There is compensation for angled mouse movements, preventing acceleration or deceleration of the mouse movement should you apply a slight angle to your wrist for angled drops, tilt slams and quick flicks.

The Sensei ten sports a neutral, ambidextrous design with eight total keys, on-board memory for storing up to five profile settings and device configurations, and the mechanical switches have been rated for 60 million clicks. References to a high-grade polymer design and a two-zone RGB lighting system round out the features. The SteelSeries Sensei Ten is now available for £69.99 or €79.99.

Looks a little wider then the others which is some thing i would like, how ever not for the corded mouse any longer. So if it is a bit bigger i am waiting on a wireless version .

thia brand is good, but also known well as damn pricey stuff, seriously pricey, even an mouse pad cost $20? no thyou..i own nothing from this producy brand..

I still use their old glass mouse mat which is about 7 years old now. Had a bad time with a few of their mouses with the left double click issue which set me back $90 at the time, they replaced the mouse but just to have the same issue and by time the 2nd one had the issue the warranty was over.

However some time later i decided to ask them for a part for the out of warranty mouse and they just said send it in and sent me a Sensei Wireless which i still use to day which i believe has been a few years now.

The deal is with the Sensei wireless the buttons are not feather touch like the others were which might be why they lasted, and lets face it replacing a switch isn't hard.

the double click issue seems to be an omron issue more than a brand fuck up.

I have two Sensei and at 5 years each - they are going strong. So yeah..

yup, more so with the more sensitive switches, i guess they are just pushing the materials to fair to actually last. But these company's keep asking for such switches.

Who else could they pick really ?, maybe there iis a better switch for the feather like touch ones.

Razer mice i have had had the softer touch switches and all failed, difference was razer told me go get fcked after going though 3 mice in some 14 months, at least SS backed their shit up and i am sure they probably don't do it all the time but still.

kaiIh and huano seem to do okay. The problem is a piece of metal that moves when you actuate the switch bends with use causing the double click. If you can rebend it, it's like a 5 minute fix.

aah forget re-bending it's only going to get worse. Thanks for the info on huano, i will check them out some.

ye re-bending them would only make things bad. From experience Omrons are more susceptible to the double-clicking issue. Ever since I soldered Huano blues on my G102 it hasn't doubled clicked since and it's already a yr or so old. I highly suggest to just solder new switches instead of re-bending the metal. Here where I am I can get Huano blues for 50c each.

oh i agree, but it's a decent enough fix for a quick temp fix. the one i've done the fix too has held up fine, the other is now a huano.

I really liked the sensei RAW they had, but after i went wireless with the logitech g403 i just cant go back to wired.

Am I alone in having never heard of any of these things? Sounds more like MMA moves than what might happen during a PC game.

I know what you mean, had that mouse myself, it would be nice to see the sensei presented with a wireless option, as batteries have improved and latency just about completely defeated it would be great

Yesterday i was trying to fix the laser on one of them and had a look at the switches on the SS Sensei Wireless and is using Steelseries branded switches.

So maybe they are made to some spec for SS on their higher tier mice at least.
