Super Talent Exelerator: ReadyBoost that goes on the USB header on your motherboard

Super Talent's internal ReadyBoost drives are sampling now, with mass production starting in June. 2GB models are expected to retail for approximately $25.

No, not really. Vista is a real word, whereas this is misspelled and nonsensical.

Yes, it bothers me when businesses butcher words to achieve some illusory "hipness" or whatever. But usually the words make some sense. All Exelerator makes me think of is incorrect spelling, and ultimately the wrong word altogether.

seems like kind of a waste of a good USB header, if you ask me -- do motherboards come with more than one, today? what if you still want to use it to hook up a front USB port?

Nice, but can you afford to sacrifice a USB header on your mobo? I couldnt, not with my current Mobo which is Vista capable.

That is a pretty good idea. I normally only use one of the internal USB headers, so I could plug 3 of these into my motherboard.

seriously ima patten the idea of hard wiring a flash chip in a mobo just for this purpose and sell it to some company and become rich
even if not used for vista would be great for server main boards not requiring the os to be loaded on one of the drives also could be used as a page file

Oh THOSE USB headers, I was wondering what you were talking about .

For all those confused: USB headers are the little thingies on your motherboard that you plug your case USB ports into to make your case USB ports work .

its not on the outside so someone can bounce or jostle it or remove it ... exteranally it isnt visible .. think of it as NAWZ

I guess if people like the idea they will buy it. I just don't see the joy in buying a flash drive that can only be connected by taking the side panel off, even if it is rarely if ever taken out. I'd rather have my 4GB flash with me all day, then when I get home I can plug it in and use it for Ready Boost.

Doesn't really matter IMHO, because Ready Boost will be pointless when SSD is the norm.

ocz makes a firewire flash drive soon. first pictures are in our cebit report. i will ask them for an update at computex next week
