SUPoX Introduces Professional Crypto Mining B250A-BTC D+ Motherboard

LOL we will see if I have the cooling to handle it.
I put those big ol box fans on most of my rigs, only the most hottest ones. I have lots of those zotac and gigabyte mini 1070 and 1080s, the cooling is not the best on the them. I kinda dont like them but only thing I could find.

Just look at that mining farm from the second pic....
And I'm mining hoping for miracles with just 1 GTX 1080 card... :))))))))
I would love something like that, I would save me some space, it might save me about 1% in power savings.

According to EPoX's wiki page SUPoX is made up with old employees of EPoX. Not sure if this means former employees or just employees who've been with EPoX donkeys of years. I remember back in the days they used to make boards for skt 754 and they even tried to branch into the enthusiast market with skt939, No idea what happened but they just slowly faded away the same way as DFI LanParty who were so popular with the enthusiast crowd back then.

I remember reading somewhere EpoX released one or two enthusiast boards but they vanished after that. I think the market back then was too crowded. Asus, Abit, MSI, Gigabyte, Biostar, DFI LanParty, AsRock... ECS was around too but ECS didnt enter the Enthusiast market until a few years ago.

I guess they refocused their efforts on the OEM markets. EpoX is kind of like Foxconn except Foxconn is much much much bigger

Epox used to make pretty good boards, does this mean we will see more retail boards from them in the future?

I have a similar issue lots of mini cards and running in the garage with just forced air...

Let's hope Nvidia finds a way to block mining on the 2000 series.

If not then mid-range cards will start at $1000.

Mining on gaming cards really has to fucking die in a hole.

Or they could just increase supply?

Is that magically going to create more memory and room on the assembly line?
If it's specialised hardware, then the die doesn't need to be as big as a GPU, thus you can satisfy more miners with a single wafer.
Just my guess, but let's assume for a second manufacturers know the options better than we do ;)

I just hope that this toy money craze ends..

I'm not hoping for a silver bullet. But gradually, I hope miners will migrate off our dear GPUs.

Doesn't change the ram issue... Even phones are cutting in on that.

It could if mining doesn't need as much RAM. It if does, this still fixes half of the problem.

Mining is not going anywhere, its hit the mainstream audience.

I paid money for lots of gpu's. If I pay money for my cards, I can do what ever I want with them. You can do the same thing

It does need ram we are pushing over 3gb right now.

This still assumes they can get more per wafer as well but at the end of the day the wafer is till pulling gaming gpu wafers off of the line and replacing them with in theory a cheaper product they have proven they can charge more for. Do you really think nvidia doesn't want more profit?

What a selfish statement. Sure you might of paid for them but at the end of the day youre still governed by its warranty procedures and the manufacturers terms and conditions no matter how loosely it is.

Then again After youre done with the cards im guessing you also dump yours on ebay.

Nvidia are trying to stop ignorant behaviour such as yours but its still something thats WIP. They'll eventually come up with a method to push miners to buy SKUs designed for compute or make a separate SKU to keep people happy.

THat kind of attitude doesnt help anyone.

If you can make the die half the size of a GPU and you get, say 10 GPUs per wafer, with two GPU wafers you can cater to 20 miners, but with one GPU and one non_GPU wafer, you can cater to those 20 miners, with a wafer left to cater to 10 gamers*.
So you see, not only I think they want profit, I'm counting on them maximizing it.

*numbers completely pulled out of my rear, but I think you get my drift

With the current prices, no , I can't.

That doesn't change that the wafer has been pulled to not make gpus to game on. Doesn't matter if it doubles how many cards are made still one less wafer.

I don't think thats at all what he does, nor many serious miners, honestly.

Why would they do that? This is obscenely profitable for them.

Dont pull that selfish or ignorant shit on me, I volunter more of my time in 1 year than I'm sure in your entire life time. If you want to pull some of those cards of your pocket, look somewhere else.

All of my cards go on ebay when I sell them. The price that it sells for is the going price, its not my fault that it sells for higher than what I paid for. But people will always blame miners for everything. I do auctions

Oh damn, ive been rumbled. Its like you can read me like a book.

If anything, it would get even more attention, now that the governments are giving more and more attention.

All the German automakers are using blockchain tech now. I believe Mercedes has a coin even. So the thought that it will just go away is far fetched imo.
