Hi,
I P in a bathroom usually but sometimes I water the bushes never in a group though that's just weird find your own bush

That is why I asked...

...this

EDIT:
Can confirm that the IP address I was using earlier is being blocked. Wondering why... Was it something I said?
I'm having this same problem on my home network (provider Comcast). Currently on mobile (provider T-Mobile). Not just you

Hi,
I'm using comcast to.

Even on win-11

Maybe it has something to do with this: Cloudflare detects one of the largest DDoS attacks on record targeting crypto platform

“What’s interesting is that the attack mostly came from data centers. We’re seeing a big move from residential network Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to cloud compute ISPs,” Cloudflare explained.
“Within those countries, the attack originated from over 1,300 different networks. The top networks included the German provider Hetzner Online GmbH (Autonomous System Number 24940), Azteca Comunicaciones Colombia (ASN 262186), OVH in France (ASN 16276), as well as other cloud providers.”

Could be that TPU's data host provider was/is part of the botnet. ;)

That could make sense. Will wait for W1zzard's analysis of the situation, I'm very curious.

Update a few hours later: sometimes unable to connect via mobile (currently using mobile). Home network still unable to connect. Any update on your end Lex?

Yes, I have changed the public IP address my network tunnels through. Access restored. However, it was still being actively blocked before it was changed.

EDIT:
Problem still exists. Within minutes of changing my public IP, the connection was lost and the "err_connection_refused" message was returned.

I suspect it's one of TPU's spam filters, though I'm not sure what I doing to trigger it. The fact that I'm not alone in this problem indicates a problem server side.

(I'm currently using a VPN set to login..)

EDIT2:
Just changed the public IP address again on my main network and it was blocked almost instantly. It loaded the front page and then blocked again. This time I was on my Windows 7 system and my Android laptop, so it's not system specific or browser version related. I didn't even try logging in, didn't get the chance. The only thing working is my VPN ATM..

EDIT3:
Tried something else, no joy.
@W1zzard
What's going on?

Maybe we're just too active here.

But seriously, I'd hope to see this diagnosed soon. We can't be the only two users affected by this issue.

Out of curiosity, does your mobile data load the site?

Are either/both of you using Comcast as well? Wondering if a group of residential IP addresses got banned.

Haven't had any problems, but I live in different hemispheres lol

Post the affected IP or send it in private message so I can look through the logs

I will PM my current IP
I also have noticed that the issue has resolved itself sometime within the past couple hours.

@lexluthermiester you got your IP banned by an automated script that checks for excessive errors like "not found", "no permission", etc

Thanks for sending your IP in private, I've unbanned you

Each bans is only temporary, but if an IP gets banned repeatedly, the ban times get extended

Thank you!

Unbanned, looks like visiting certain threads causes enough errors to get an IP banned

Hmm .. actually it looks like you two got "permission denied" errors during thread visits, but I can't reproduce those, those images load fine for me, except when I log out while browsing, then scroll down the page to lazy load images, which will generate the 403 error.

I think I just figured it out, or at least some of it.
@onemanhitsquad posted images in the Nostalgic Hardware Thread. They failed to show up.
@lexluthermiester responded to that post.
I liked @lexluthermiester 's post.
All three of us had errors soon after... And you know what? I just banned myself again to prove it. ;)
So whatever it is, links back to @onemanhitsquad 's post in that thread. Your image to me W1z proves it. I think it was the interaction with that post which caused issues?
Ask @freeagent if he has this issue, he reacted to @onemanhitsquad 's post IIRC. Posting from mobile.

I linked the post but IP banned so I gotta just talk about it. On page 553, the post with photo names but no visuals.

His images are loading fine for me though .. and it doesn't seem like he edited the post?

Is it the post that Lex responded "Your images aren't loading" to?

I think so
His message was directly below @onemanhitsquad 's, so if that is indeed the message, that's the one I mean.

Could this be a USA server error of some kind or is that not how things work? Networking isn't my strong suit

The attachments are served from our main server cluster, not through a global CDN. If there had been a connectivity issue, the error wouldn't be 403 (403 = forbidden because our server thinks so)
