The best drivers for gtx 970

Perhaps he mean guys.. Go latest drivers

Glorious!

i go with the drivers from within a year of the release of whatever GPU it is in question, unless some Card specific fix has been implememnted

hi guys
whats the best drivers for gtx 970 g1
Honestly, opinions will vary widely. I keep all my Maxwell GPU's on one from last fall, I'd have to check when I get home. I think performance tends to drop off a little with the latest ones, which are focused on current Pascals.

I believe 376.09 is what I am using.

I have not found any trouble with newer games since then, either.

Rarely I have any problems with the latest drivers so I use the latest ones for my GTX1080 and same for my GTX 970M.

FWIW

i just installed that driver and got 60 points increase on Superposition extreme test. 2113------2172

I always go with the latest. Though I wait a few days to install them after they are released. Partly due to laziness and partly due to wanting to wait to make sure there aren't any nasty bugs.

well said, there was a performance cut down on some drivers for GTX 900 series, could not remmeber the specific driver edition but i did sure watched that here!
thanks dude for mentioning that, i was about to do a research about it, but you know, sometimes i got lost in time...

theese drivers are made for pascal based cards (GTX 1000 series for example) some older maxwel cards are affected by some drivers, give a try with the latest ones, or also look for driver revision: 376.09 that its working well on @rtwjunkie 's hardware, i cannot advise mine cuz i dont remember which one im using with my GTX 980

i was doing that, but some of the new ones for pascal just provide a performance cut-down on some games like BF1 and the crew ... decided to roll back to a older version i had at downloads folder!

I have yet to notice a new driver cause a noticeable performance drop with my older cards.

Best drivers? The latest ones of course.

thats why i have stopped the updates on nvidia experience and drivers, stick whit the one that have shown less trouble

I may be lazy, but I update only when a game requires me to or if the game runs worse that it should. This way you can avoid some of the "bad" releases :)
