Westmere is also considered first generation and was originally named Nehalem-C. It was a die shrink of 45nm Nehalem to 32nm.

thing that is sad is sandy to ivy isn't much different from nehalem to westmere, generation in name only. All you get is PCI-E 3.0 and smaller node.

Nehalem and Westmere are the same gen and ipc...like haswell and haswell-e...just one is 6 cores/HEDT platform. Sandy and ivy are actually different generations

I mean technically there were 6 and 8 core Nehalem parts for LGA1567

There's also a 4.4GHz 32nm dual-core LGA1366 Xeon.
