How high are you 6700 XT owners pushing MPT power limit to break past 2800Mhz? I'm using the XFX AIB limit of 211 watts but want to see where the 'safe' limits are without burning out my card lol.

Yes i used mpt and set power to 50%, wattman only goes as far as 15%. so does that mean even if i set it in mpt, it wont actually be 50% more power to the card? because wattman sets it at 15%You cannot bump power by 50% in Wattman.
It is only possible to do 15% there.
To push high one need to use MPT.
When I had 6900XT Toxic I also noticed that when you have Trixx installed and tried to manually tune stuff in Radeon Driver then there were conflicts.

The red ants ate them. That explains why I saw them marching toward the PC a couple months ago. I thought there was food inside the case so I used some insecticide chalk on the case and around the GPU block. I didn’t know they were having a feast on the circuit board and had munched on the thermal pads.Ok, I'm no expert, but I have never heard of that happening to thermal pads before. It looks like they completely disintegrated. Makes me wonder what brand pads were used (so I'll know to never use them).

If you apply higher power in MPT that works. 15% from Radeon driver would be added on top of what you set in MPT.Yes i used mpt and set power to 50%, wattman only goes as far as 15%. so does that mean even if i set it in mpt, it wont actually be 50% more power to the card? because wattman sets it at 15%

My nitro+ can break 2800 without mpt, but I have the power limit set to 240w in mpt anyways. The max frequency that you set in radeon software will always be about 50-100mhz lower in games, I have mine set to 2900 max frequency and 2800 min, the card does about 2810-2840 in games. How high are you 6700 XT owners pushing MPT power limit to break past 2800Mhz? You don't need Afterburner if all you're after is monitoring. Riva Tuner will do.Do you guys have any problems with afterburner? I basically can't run it with RDR2. The game crashes on start. When it's not running - all good. Bu the problem is that monitoring via afterburner is way better than via radeon software. I suspect that the two just conflict each other, so I wonder if installing driver only version of latest adrenaline and setting clock/voltage settings via afterburner instead will help the issue. Any advice?

I was just playing around with some wattage counting from the wall - peak usage 715 watt
View attachment 197982
But thats with a baseline around 200 Watt for my setup except the pc
View attachment 197983
The setup also include a secondary desktop and monitor both shut down - but monitor still use some. So a around 515 Watt peak and 450 average gameing in 7680x1440 in Division 2
Will do some direct testing of pc consumption later - but just wanted to se what my setup was using

Well I experienced same thing with Valhalla.Guys, red devil rx 6900 xt limited edition user here. I have a question. Been trying to find an answer for a while, but with no luck. In short, I found out that in ac valhalla and horizon zero dawn my card can sustain 2700+ MHz 1138 memory with 2650 min - 2750 max 1175 mv, 15% extra power. In any other game, the card cant go higher than 2500 MHz. Both hzd and valhalla stay at approx 290-300 W power consumed, while all the other games draw up to 320w, which is max tdp, but clock speeds dont go higher than 2500 MHz. I use 60% vents, temps 65 degrees max. If I use more power tool to raise max tdp up to 360w, other games can GO to 2650 mhz, hzd and valhalla 2720 max (i get crashes if I set 2700-2800). Now why do those two games can sustain 2700 MHz with no mpt?

Did you click "Write SPPT"? You also need to restart for the settings to take effect. Also, your card won't draw more power unless you overclock the core or VRAM.

Yes I did all of above and its overclocked, maybe its because of my GPU having bad vrms thaats unable to give the gpu more power? In MPT I took the power limit to 270w but in games its still the same as what it was before, did I do something wrong or does the card just doesn't draw that much power?

That's nice.I've changed to Thermalright pads (12.8w/mk) and I noticed a considerable drop in both core and hot spot temperatures. My new average temp after a Port Royal run is now about 46 degrees C compared with 54 degrees C before. I know it doesn't translate to any real-world benefits but it's good to stare at a better number (and I mean the temp, not the performance numbers which I'm sure haven't changed much).

That's nice.
Your new temperatures are comparable to what I had on my 6800XT.
But I don't understand why changing the pads for VRM and VRAM will make your core and junction temperature better except if you meant that now you use a thermal pad on the GPU chip instead of thermal past.
I was using 12w/mK pads for VRM and VRAM and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut for the GPU chip.

That makes sense now. You're right. LOL. My max junction temp is now in the 60s from the high 70s earlier. About my core temp, I forgot to mention that I shifted from Kryonaut to Conductonaut liquid metal.
