Thermaltake with its well known Aquabay series has added a HDD water cooler to its list of offerings for their water cooling kits. The new cooler is dubbed the M4 which is the next number in line for the Aquabay series. With the addition of this new HDD water cooler it opens a new debate as well "Do I really need to water cool my HDD?" We'll try to answer that question as we review the Thermaltake Aquabay M4.

I didn't know hard drives got that hot...I see alot more value in the 120mm fan right in front of my hard drive :p. Thanks Thermaltake for that wonderful feature :D.

My hard drive barely runs above room temp, it has a 120 mm case fan behind it running on 5v. This is probably only useful if you are running a few 10k+ rpm drives right next to eachother with no airflow... great for silent pc's :)
