ThieAudio updates its popular Monarch line of in-ear monitors with the Monarch MKIII. It uses a 10-driver tribrid configuration, including a dual DD isobaric setup, to offer excellent bass and mids reproduction. There are also several custom shells/face plate designs to choose from for an additional cost.

In the Specifications, Frequency response: 20 Hz–80 Hz. Even if you slip a "k" in there, it doesn't look right. Can it really go that high?

Whoops thanks for catching the typo. The marketing here is that the EST tweeter drivers can theoretically put out sound that high, but they never say how loud it is. There are some couplers which can go to 100 kHz but yeah it's not something worth even talking about outside of the spec sheet.

Beautiful kit, although a bit too pricey for my blood. Being too hot in the uppers is also a shame, I like me some classic and classic-adjacent music and I remember trying to listen to a pair of HD800s that my friend owned with its infamous treble spike and it was… an experience, for sure.
Speaking of full-size cans, is there any possibility to get a Moondrop PARA in for a review? Judging by numerous positive impressions I’ve seen and it being described as “Venus for almost half the price” it seems like a new planar mid-budget champion, surely.

I already have it and have finished testing it. The frequency response measurements are also up on my squig link database: https://vsg.squig.link/?share=Harma...OONDROP_PARA_hybrid,MOONDROP_PARA_fenestrated

Once I'm back from vacation, I'll write it up as well as the FiiO FT5 which is also ready to be written.
