As long as you have a legit key, there shouldn't be any issue.

I've activated a few of my ole systems within the last couple of years without having it online.

If you wish to put it online, let me know, I've got some links to current active browsers that are safe and secure for XP.

Also have a link/copy to a free antivirus that works great with XP.

Of course, no need for either if you're not going to put it online.

Yeah the xp media center activated fine that I had a disc for. I have a Dell copy somewhere for another machine too

yeah I wanted to try out the media center stuff cuz I only did briefly and I might install the dell mediadirect thingy some time in a few months it's this quick booting minimal linux distro I think that is for quick media playback without booting windows...

Unfortunately, back when these were new, especially brand new, back in 2005, IIRC, which was before most 7-series cards came out, was like its version of an 'RTX 4090, so expensive!

Well, even SHA1, is now considered a security risk! So I get shocked to see MD5 still being used for ISOs and the like!

I genuinely don't remember how I ended up with this motherboard, CPU, and RAM but I remember having looted this 9600 GT at one of my jobs. Dropped everything but the GPU whilst cleaning the room. For some reason, this even works.

Now I ordered a C2D E6750 (I know it supports Wolfdale, I'm too lazy to update the BIOS for that and it won't make a huge difference anyway) for this grandpa. Totally short on hard drives and spare SSDs so no OS for now.

If you have any spare USB flash drives, Puppy Linux will run off of that. It's sufficient for basic tasks if that's what you want. I also think it's kind of fun that the BIOS for that motherboard was built on Christmas Eve.

I am testing all my boards out and, on the GA7VAXP two floppy connections on the board don,t work

. To sell it should i take the ram heat sink and CPU out and sell it as *For parts not working*?

I am looking on eBay and one has gone for £10 with bad caps.so i guess i could get £10 for it.I don,t like having stuff that does not work like it should.
