TPU's Rosetta Milestones and Daily Pie Thread

One of my issues here in the summer, in Florida, is the daily thunderstorms with lots of lightning. I turn my main PC off when I go to work. (I leave the linux box running though).

After 3 weeks all of the servers are finally back on line. For the past 3 weeks there were only two servers showing up on the server status page, and one of them was disabled. Current server status page https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/server_status.php

No work showing up yet, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

I run Linux and errored out 42 units so I think it's a common issue.

The first bunch of work all errored out within 20 seconds. The last batch I recieved are now past 14 minutes (holding my breath) and still running.

I've not yet seen any Rosetta stats coming up for TPU, I can presume that none are at the moment.. I await the update tomorrow

And here we are, a little later than I guess hoped for but some long awaited Rosetta Pie Stats for the 17th August 2024!!

Well there we are, something we've all not seen for quite a number of days and weeks... Not bad everyone, I wouldn't say it was anything other as I know they've had a load of problems with work units failing as soon as they've been started, seen a number of them come through on my couple of Rosetta rigs, so hopefully that's cut out now... As for the server stats.... It's not massively exciting....

As you can see... Ummm, hopefully it will pick up again soon... I'll check back with the server stats later on in the day, see what's crackin'

You will be the first to run any of the betas to successful completion. notice that zero units have been returned. As the the normal/old rb jobs I had some errors and so did others. The sad thing is that that error have been around for a looooong time and that it can kick in after 8 hours or 30 minutes, not after 15-30 seconds. @xrobwx71 holds the team record for bad luck with 8 hours 36 min 41 sec wasted CPU time on one unit.

Well there we are again everyone, nicely done as always Seems we hit the jackpot here with the 121,000 points for today and some members not managing to post any points... Those damn Beta units....
Still here's the server stats from this mornings data collection...

As @mstenholm mentions, Rosetta seems to be a fickle little thing, works, sometimes works, doesn't work at all... It's not brilliant is it... Well, how many days will these few work units last us...... See you soon everyone, hope you're all well and OK, take care!!

Well there we are, a little bit less on the total points today, but we have got another member with the team today, that's always a bonus Well, here we are again with the server stats.....

Guess we aren't quite going through these units as fast as I was going to be expecting but still, there we go Over 82.6k to go.... Hope everyone is doing well and is OK !! Take care everyone!!

Well, there's a bit of a turn up for the books, not very many points for anyone today!! Well I guess, the server stats show a little bit about that.....

But nothing massive... Wonder how long those near 36,000 work units will last us... Anyone got any ideas??.... I don't think it'll be lasting long, unless they get another batch out sometime soon.... For Rosetta, some very nice and strong numbers there from everyone!! Great work there all!! I hope everyone is doing well and is having a good Sunday to boot?? It seems the server stats, I think, are disagreeing with not many jobs about at all sadly....

Well here's hoping there'll be some work for us, at some point!! I've not had much through that I've seen at all today... Anyone else had much come through? Best to keep this going or else I'll be sleeping with my face flat on the keyboard Take care everyone, I hope you have a great rest to your day!!

Not a bad day for Rosetta, considering the server stats and that they are showing things are pretty low... But still, 4 of us managing to return some work, so in my eyes, that's a damn good start
