Looks kinda heavy

Looks a lot like Logitech G35 and G930

When will people understand that 'gaming' headsets are just an expensive gimmick?

Buy a real pair of headphones like the Senheiser HD555 and get a clip-on Zalman mic which is much more worth it.

And if your into that 'surround' thing get a pc sound card later...

More like, when will a company take a GOOD set of headphones and put a GOOD mic on it and call it the KING of all headsets.

Sennheiser PC-350 is good after hack, and its targeted audience is gamers. I am using a pair of shitty Creative Fatality, but for £20 I can hardly find a better set. Don't over-generalise please.

I agree with you there. There are cheap gaming headsets that get good sound for the money. But I'll bet ya that headset will cost the same or more than the kit i specified (without dedicated soundboard).

This issue kinda pisses me off since many of my friends fall for this...

I feel you on this, but its hard to sort the good ones out from the lemons.
