Unigine DX11 "Heaven" Benchmark

8800GT DX11 on Windows Vista here .

You need Win 7 since it has DX11. Vista still only has DX10 for now. I expected mine to crash at DX11 since I don't have DX11 Hardware but it worked lol.

You need to install the Platform Update beta, then update Windows, and re-update your DX to update it to DX11.

This is on a single 4870x2 in Vista 64. It is running in DX10, since it obviously would not work with DX11. I have everything maxed out, 16x AF, 8x AA, 1920x1200 fullscreen.

Spare is a 640mb 8800gts @ 684/1583/945 drivers v191.07. Not sure why the benchmark is pulling the remote drivers instead.

On OpenGL doesn't work very well with HD5850 and W7 running OpenGL mode.
There are scenes that are blacked out. Strange. Is this happening for others?

Is DX11 software or hardware related? From what I understand its hardware related like other DX's in the past. I ask because if its strictly software we may see a hack soon?

That has to be a glitch on the direct3d11 setting since it is impossible for HD4870 doesn't have direct X11 shader technology.

I know thats what I'm saying but its doing it. I think if you observe the wireframe carefully its actually not tessellating.

this bench is beautiful imo unigine is easily a competitor to FM if they made longer demos..with different options specifically phys. this would give FM a run for its money as the standard...besides im getting seriously tired of seeing FM try to see how many variations of battle of proxycon they can come out with. Seriously give me dinosaurs or some shit just please no more proxycon...the planet is dead..its just DEAD their is no one left to fight..nobody cares anymore.

heres mine too, old 4870x2 holding up pretty good, the res is as high as i can go im running hydra visioned 32 inch lcd's

For those with DX10 GPU's AFAIK you will be able to run the DX11 engine, as DX11 is back compatible with DX10, it will just disable the features not available on the DX10 hardware.

Such as Tesselation.

Hence those with DX10 cards getting scores very close to those with 5 series hardware when running the DX11 renderer.

The 5 series will be displaying the scene with full detail, whereas the 4 series/nvidia dx10 gpu's will have certain effects disabled or at a reduced level.
