Are the Samsung neo G7/G8 available to you at similar to the oled pricing.

The only oled I'd feel ok using in a bright room is the G series from LG and QD oled is pretty bad imho to the point I had to get shutters for my office to keep my G8 looking fantastic.
The only neo monitor from Samsung that is available at my country is this one and I do not think is the same you mention: https://thotcomputacion.com.uy/producto/monitor-samsung-odyssey-g7-43-3840x2160-144hz-1ms/ , this is a 43'' monitor too , way to big for my corner desk

There is also another g7 but I dont think is the one you mention : https://www.banifox.com/samsung-monitor-32-g32g75tqsn-open-box/art-17853/

Damn you got not only high prices but meh selection bummer.

I'd just wait then till you have better options honestly.

I don't think a first generation QD OLED is worth the upgrade for your use case.

apparently no one agreed with the monitors availables which one is a very good choice or big upgrade ,so I guess I will wait. What do you think is a feature or characteristic that i need to keep an eye on at the moment of purchasing my next monitor? Or maybe I can follow a specific model like an example , I just ask in case I see something new arriving.

For a bright room that is clearly a big upgrade over what you have I'd wait for a 1000 ish zone mini led monitor preferably VA but IPS at that zone count is fine as well that has decent in the neighborhood of the neo g7 response times faster is better ofc. Actual measured response times not the fake number printed on the box.

helpful list that is updated frequently.

Or for Oleds to get into the 400 nit full white range right now they are in the 250-280 range which is fine for indirect light but keep in mind QDOLED have a weird way of diffusing light that makes blacks look gray. On Woled it isn't a thing but I haven't had enough hands on with any of the woled monitors to feel good about recommending them.

Nice to know that you have one , any thoughts about that monitor , I mean is that big of a change? since when you have it ? Im bit worried about the burn-ins mentioned in some places. For the moment I thinks is the best choice that increase my gaming experience.
While I'm not as critical as some peers here about using my G8 in a lit (but not ridiculously bright) room, I can notice a faint purpleish hue in black areas (remember I mentioned letterboxing?) if the lights are on. Also, I don't have my Odyssey G8 for long enough to say anything on burn-in, but my LG C1 is already some 4 years old and still pristine. So no, I do not fear burn-in, but I also leave every mitigation option turned on, including taskbar auto-hide.
Now, making a direct comparison between my current Odyssey G8 and my former Aorus CV27Q (VA, 1440p165, 27"): God bless OLED and its fast transitions. The Aorus was quite the premium VA monitor, great colors, nice contrast, and yet the ever present black smearing was what made me move. Really, and with OLED it's just no more.
Moving to ultrawide was just me wanting to experience something new (and also alleviating some on my 7900XTX by not going 4K) and I actually feel it more on common usage than while gaming. Windows 11 makes dividing the screen in 3/5 + 1/5 + 1/5 easy (great for online tabletop RPG with Discord) and it didn't work that well with 2560 horizontal pixels, but with 3440...

I will keep your opinion in mind , maybe I will wait or not for a new monitor. Honestly this Samsung G8 have everything that I need, I read a few reviews and also I see that rtings give it a 8.9 score which is pretty nice but the price is what is holding me back at the moment , this one have a final price of USD 1785 tax included , I can afford it but don't want to waste my money on something that will look similar to my VA monitor

Sorry about not sharing my budget but since I'm from outside the US didn't though it was relevant .I have filled my TPU System Specs
We can check prices just about anywhere, if we know where to look. Thanks for filling out your specs. With that decent 750W supply, you have a nice chunk of wiggle room for decent card options. However...
Just change monitors
I agree. If you stick with your current monitor and upgrade your card, you are NOT likely to "see" any appreciable improvements in the vast majority of the tasks you ask your computer to do. This is because the image quality will remain unchanged. That is, the contrasts, blacks, whites and colors will all remain the same.

However, if you upgrade your monitor, you are going to see significant improvements in everything you do.

I was checking this monitor , is a 43'' I'm not sure if its too big for gaming at a desktop , I could add like 10-20cms more deep to my setup and try to accomodate this monitor. I share it because you mentioned something about mini-led and also check online , rtings , etc and I read is a good monitor for bright rooms. Also is a 4k with 120hz , with a 4070 I will not get more than 120fps .

What's warranty like on Refurbished items? The QN90B is super solid I have the older A series and it's fantastic.

My only concern is warranty. Price for your country seems solid but not if the warranty is 30-90 days.

I used a 48 inch C1 as a monitor on a normal 24 inch deep desk and I got use to it pretty fast honestly miss it a little bit. 42/43 abound be actually a bit better.

I found it new on USD 1099 with a one year warranty :

The seller told me that the serial number is QN43QN90CA , from that serial number I found this on Samsung's page : https://www.samsung.com/latin/tvs/neo-qled/qn90c-43-inch-neo-qled-4k-smart-tv-qn43qn90capxpa/#specs

I guess i need to check better on the distance but if the image quality is to good I guess it will not bother me at all

Don't have time to look into it thoroughly but the one with 1 year warranty seems like the much better option

No problem , I guess I will go with this one from Samsung , I will still review what's about this model because from what I see isn't as good as an Oled monitor but it will be a big jump in quality from what I have at the moment.

The other thing about this Samsung is that doesn't have display port , which I think is not that big of an issue.

It's not with a 40 series gpu or any gpu going forward. Hdmi 2.1 is sufficient

You will want a decent quality 48Gbps hdmi 2.1 cable though. They shouldn't be very expensive although in your country maybe 20-30 usd.

@tabascosauz uses a similar setup for PC I believe maybe he can chime in if he isn't too busy.

Nice , I will go with this one then , price is good , darks are close to an OLED, brightness is more than sufficient for my room and Im jumping to 4k which will give me more detail of course. Thank you for all the responses and comments!

Hi All ,

Finally after much articles , videos , and lot of comments I have two options in mind , just want to hear your thoughts or opinions . The two options are:

1) Samsung Neo Qled QN90C 43'' VA panel ,4k 144hz
https://www.samsung.com/latin/tvs/neo-qled/qn90c-43-inch-neo-qled-4k-smart-tv-qn43qn90capxpa/#specs

2) Gigabyte MO34WQC2 , QD-OLED panel , 1440p WQHD 270hz

Here are my notes for both models :

Price> The Samsung cost 1100 usd and the gigabyte 1580 usd , not sure if that difference makes sense to get an OLED monitor and from what I read both are very similar in terms of quality.

Resolution> Here is one thing that holds me back on getting the Samsung , I know that 4k will give me better quality image but a the cost of having to upgrade my gpu often ( currently I own a rtx 4070) and Im not a big fan of doing that , with the gigabyte I will have more room gpu performance.

Image > From what I read the gigabyte is a 2.5 gen OLED monitor , which kinda solves the issue with poor brightness on older OLED models and can help with my taste of playing with no curtains , I don't like to play on dark rooms. The Samsung doesn't run the blacks as good as OLED obviously but does a better job with colors and brightness.

Size> For the samsung not a big fan of using a 43'' as my monitor but a lot of people says is a nice thing. The gigabyte is ultra wide which can help a lot in productivity like coding and all that.

What do you guys think ?

Thank you very much to all in advance!

The only downside of the oled is it's bright room performance, in a dark or dimly lit room it will be superior. Keep in mind UW is more demanding than standard 1440p and using quality DLSS will look and perform similarly to using performance DLSS on the 4k panel although sometimes better on the 4k panel depending on game.

I would not use an Oled for productivity at all in fact I use a secondary monitor for all work, web browser, and non UW apps because I still don't trust longevity on a QDoled.... WOLED I would use no problem like a C series or G series LG. If I had to replace my G8 tomorrow that wouldn't be an issue but if you can't easily replace it I would probably avoid it unless it is for gaming at UW only.

I get it though without being able to use the monitor/TV first it makes it really hard to make an informed decision. I like both formats and would be happy with either. I've actually used up to a 65 inch oled as a monitor and liked it though.

For a true leap in visuals, you need OLED and personally I find QD-OLED superior to WOLED but both are next level compared to any LCD panel.

I have tested and tried tons of gaming monitors in the last 10 years, like 100+ easily. Also had 10+ OLED TVs.

OLED will blow you away at night / in a dim or dark room. Not a single LCD based monitor or TV will even come close here.

I have used OLED for like 10 years now, has been using since LGs first 1080p OLED TVs back in 2014ish. Its an amazing tech that has evolved bigtime since then, today I prefer QD-OLED due to colors tho.
Nothing will give you more immersion than true per pixel dimming with infinite contrast.

Even the best LCD gaming monitor will look meh when you have seen an OLED.

I would only consider LCD if you are using the monitor mostly in a bright room.

I don't personally see any point of upgrading from 4070 to 4070 TiS. The monitor would be a way wiser purchase.

That would kinda be the same if I'd go from my current 3080 10GB to a 3080 Ti or 3090.

Thanks for your comments again! Yeah I need to check better on that 1440p UW performance because if I get the same as 4k , the best choice will be 4k all day.

I mean , I use it for study and work also . Depends on the day honestly , there is some days that I can have the monitor on for 12+ hours and others than I don't use at all ,depend if I'm at home or the office.

I wish things were like in other country where you can see the monitors and return them , here if you get a nice warranty you are in luck

EDIT: Both have 1 year warranty

Thank you for your comments . I mostly use it on a bright room but isn't anything crazy , I'm not receiving light directly to my monitor , I have my windows on one side of my face and I get that light there, but I can always lower my window shades a little to accommodate the outside lights into my room. But I always prefer to play with little light, playing in dark rooms bothers my vision a little
