Users report multiple issues with GeForce 375.86 WHQL Drivers

Seems that the hard FPS drop on COD:IW was because of those crappy drivers and also of the previous drivers too. Rolled back 2 versions back and no more issues.

GPU drivers seem to follow game-development.
Rush a halfassed product and fix it later...
Soon we are going to see driver's DLC with specific fixes for specific games. Oh wait...

i tried to report a bug to nvidia via the contact on their website, and got a permission denied error.

gee i bet those software guys think they're doing great, no bug reports in months!

These things happen from both sides, gents. Simply uninstall and roll back if you happened to DL them. Wait for the hotfix or the next drivers. :)
Actually these things are happening a lot regularly from Nvidia side recently.

actually, it's both sides and nobody can keep track who's 'winning'.

Again, whoopTdoo a driver borked some things for some people...it happens. rollback... done.

I agree but re-read what i said, Nvidia has been having a lot of episodes lately.

No need to re-read it. AMD has the same thing happen at times. ;)

People shouldnt be jumping on the latest drivers like this unless there is a reason anyway. If it borks, rollback. Simple.

I usually did that but didn't this time..
I will wait again next time..:ohwell:
I actually usually do the opposite. I never seem to be affected by the issues I always read about it with new drivers. However I haven't been playing any new games that would benefit from the drivers, and I was already in the middle of using my computer and didn't want to take the few minutes it would take to update it.

So I figured, eh, screw it, I'll wait a couple of days. Nice to see it worked out.

WTF is with NVIDIA lately!? They are a software company. They are starting to act like ATI back when I left em. Ill go back red if this keeps up.

I give AMD more slack. They are a hardware company trying to make software for their hardware. NVIDIA is the opposite. NVIDIA drivers should be damn near flawless.

All i said is Nvidia has been seeing a lot of driver related incidence lately. What you are tying to imply is that because AMD had 1 or 2 driver related issue during RX 480 launch, Nvidia should also get a slack no matter how many times in this year itself they have issued a borked driver ?

Yes... you keep forgetting how much trouble they (AMD) have had at times as well. Again, both sides aren't perfect. No need to pile on to any company for driver borks, or say one is worse than the other. They both have flaws and go through these 'hard times' occasionally. :)

That's like telling someone that it's "I pooped in your corn flakes, but it's OK because shit happens".

This is why people buy consoles.

Previous version crapped the animated GIFs, got them corrupted in some way and would play them with artifacts. Quality check?

lol, it's not remotely like that.
Tell that to my motherboard with a now-dead PCIe slot. I don't know why (or maybe I do), but I'm gonna blame NVidia for that (or maybe it's because it's crappy $400(CAD) ASUS Z170-DELUXE). I guess there's no better time for me to upgrade, since I got a few boxes on my doorstep this week.. :P.

What happened to your motherboard?

Still no issues in BF1 that I can see. So at least thats fine for me at least. Probably going to be a driver today or tomorrow that addresses at least some of the issues.

Second slot doesn't work at all any more. Swapped CPUs, and everything else, same problem. Both cards work individually.

Shoot, which board you going to switch in its place? What do you think caused it?

Ha, with all the high prices they are basically saying: since our shit happened in your corn flakes, let us rub your nose in it

Quick support as always.

First world problems and another bowl of corn flakes to try.

Anyone tried the new hotfix yet?
