Verbatim released its newest generation of Store 'n' Go portable hard drives. The new drives are lighter, and with higher capacities. The hard drives inside the shell are of the 2.5" form-factor. The main unit measures 81 (W) x 117 (L) x 16 (H) mm, and weighs 135 g. The drives back an energy saving feature that's activated at the press of a "Green Button".

The new range of Store 'n' Go comes in capacities of 250 GB, 320 GB, 500 GB, 640 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB. They [still] rely on USB 2.0 as the connectivity standard. Bundled with each drive are copies of Nero BackItUp Essentials and Burn and Nero Rescue software. In the above order of capacity, the drives are priced at 59, 69, 79, 89, 99 and 189 Euro, respectively, and are avilable in a wide range of shell color options.

kind of makes me think of the Ipod commercials with all the colors,

Just €10 between the majority of capacities, makes me wonder why more people don't just go for top-end capacity. After all, €60 is a bit much for just 250GB, when 500GB is going for €89, and 750GB can be had for just an extra €10.
The 1TB drive is a bit much though, I'd rather buy two 750GB drives and just have them connected when I need one or the other, or have them for separate backups.

is it just me or are there 5 sizes and 6 prices? but those do look pretty

lol I think there's too many colours, I guess they have a target market like iPod Nano users lol

At capacities that high now, USB 3.0 or GTFO.

they're nothing more than a $5 enclosure in a pretty color bundled with a drive.

They've always gone with a lot of colors. I still remember the bundle of floppy disks from Verbatim.
