Hi gamers! I'm Samuel, the PD of Chrono Studio. To all who have been eagerly awaiting Chrono Odyssey, we are thrilled to finally unveil our second trailer giving you an in-depth look at the gameplay itself. At Chrono Studio, we are more than just developers - we are avid gamers who share a passion for epic titles and we believe that MMORPGs are more than just games - they are gateways to unforgettable experiences formed through shared adventures and challenges. Our vision for Chrono Odyssey is to continue the legacy of beloved MMORPGs that have stood the test of time.

At first glance Chrono Odyssey may seem like your typical MMORPG, but what sets Chrono Odyssey apart from the rest is its unparalleled graphics, made by the UE5 engine and our accumulated expertise. We have also elevated combat to new heights by incorporating the Chrono (time) element, which serves as the core of the game's universe, as well as the real-time MMO content enjoyed by hundreds of players to provide a dynamic social experience unlike any other.

The open-world of Setera
Step into the breathtaking world of Setera, an open-world wilderness that transports you to a world that feels ever-changing. Immerse yourself in the stunning scenery which transforms with each passing season, with a realism that captures the essence of a living and breathing environment.

Combat
Combat is a thrilling experience that demands both unpredictability and control. Master the basics of attack, defense, dodge, and switch seamlessly between multiple weapons in real-time to gain the upper hand in battle. But be prepared for the unexpected - the enemy's attack patterns are as varied as they are deadly, adding an extra layer of tension to each encounter. So stay on your toes, hone your skills, and embrace the excitement of combat. Choose from six distinct classes - Swordsman, Ranger, Sorcerer, Paladin, Berserker, and Assassin - as you embark on your epic journey. And don't forget to make your mark with character customization options like gender and appearance, allowing you to express your unique personality and create a personalized combat style that is truly your own.

The power of time
The enigmatic power of the Chronotector holds the key to unlocking the full potential of your journey. As you venture through the game's world, you'll come to understand the symbolic importance of Chrono - a force that not only drives the storyline but also plays a pivotal role in combat and progression. With the ability to manipulate time and space, you'll be able to stop time, rewind events, and explore other timelines and overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges.

Teamwork takes the lead
Prepare to engage in epic battles alongside hundreds of other players, where strategy, skill, and teamwork determines the outcome. Whether you're facing off against colossal beasts or competing for dominance against other factions, you'll need to bring your all and find trusted allies to support you in your quest for victory. And when the time comes to confront the massive Eltanius - one of many powerful bosses within the game world - be sure to come prepared for the ultimate test of strength and will.

We are thrilled by your interest in our ambitious project, and we cannot wait to share the results of our hard work with you soon when Chrono Odyssey launches on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S. Thank you for your support!

  • Explore the breathtaking wilderness of "Setera," where an open-world full of life and constant changes awaits you.
  • Engage in combat with challenging foes and hone your skills in attack, defense, dodging, and a range of unique abilities across six classes.
  • Utilize the incredible power to manipulate time and space to your advantage, freezing time, rewinding events, and exploring further in ways you never thought possible.

moblo... souls?

Oh my. Souls-ish combat MMO...RPG?

Am I dreaming?

My problem with how game engines evolve is that a studio can create an amazing looking demo without needing to implement full gameplay features.
Something like Unreal Engine can already provide creators with the tools to make amazing looking trailers and showcase demos. It can provide them with assets, easily cobbled locations, sound effects and immersive lighting.

Unfortunately, at least with smaller studios, not all that shines is gold and we have seen many amazing looking demos turn into a nothingburger.

Edit: I have just learned that the studio behind this is Korean. Anyone who is familiar with online Korean games knows where this is going. Been a fun short ride.

Looks a bit janky to my eye. I would expect better from UE5.

Looks nice. But it's 2023, so I'm calling it now. 27fps in 1080p on a 4090.

So it's gonna be gotcha filled?

For anyone looking for a MMORPG this might turn out to be a good choice. Looks interesting so far.

Kinda looks like Dragon's Dogma, especially in these pictures. Even the font of the title is somewhat similar...

Not that that's a bad thing; DD is a phenomenal game.

Shame it has to be an MMO rather than a single-player experience with AI companions. It would definitely pique my interest otherwise.

I was actually mildly interested till I realized it was an MMO.

If it's more guild wars than WOW then maybe I'll check it out.

I should also mention what has happened time and time again with stuff like this.

1. Small indie studio announces a hugely ambitious game with awesome trailers and "gameplay" demos.

2. People get excited and preorder (because, of course)

3. The game ends up being a scam, a barely functional broken mess, or gets stuck in "development hell" and changes into something completely different (and often nothing like what was initially promised).

I'm not saying this is that, but a precedent has been set.

agreed, needs a bit more polish on combat animations especially.

If it could avoid a toxic culture like most multiplayer games it looks amazing. Some of those bosses are very cool. But I do wish there wasa single player mode, so you could skill up before entering the fray.

This trailer really has me hooked. My question is, what in the hell does the actual game play actually look like? These cut scenes are straight legit.

After I posted it, it says gameplay... I don't believe it. lol

All of that...

Skeptical of Any new MMO, especially a "small indie" studio. It's such a gamble preordering this kinda thing.

For anyone asking who, why, and what - this should put the kibosh on everything:

The game is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) and it will be based on Npixel’s original Web2 game Gran Saga. Gran Saga was one of the top-grossing games on the iOS app store. Now the companies are bringing out Gran Saga: Unlimited to take advantage of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), blockchain, and GameFi. Web3 gaming will be a core focus for Aptos heading into the new year, and this upcoming title with Npixel, a fast-growing South Korean game maker, will be the first of many gaming projects to launch on the network, the company said. Palo Alto, California-based Aptos has built a Layer 1 blockchain dubbed Aptos Network. Aptos has raised more than $400 million from investors including a16z, Jump Crypto, Binance Labs, Katie Haun, Multicoin Capital, PayPal Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.

Some cultures look at games like giant casinos.
