Warner Bros. Games and DC today announced Gotham Knights, a brand-new open-world, third-person action RPG videogame in development from Warner Bros. Games Montréal. Gotham Knights features the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman's death.

Introducing an original story set in DC's Batman Universe, Gotham Knights offers a dynamic and interactive Gotham City where an exploding criminal element has swept through the streets. With the Belfry as their base of operations, this new era of heroes will solve mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city's history and must defeat notorious villains in epic confrontations. Players must save Gotham from a descent into chaos and reinvent themselves into their own version of the Dark Knight.

Gotham Knights is playable either solo or as a two-player, online cooperative experience and will be available in 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox Series X and Xbox One X and PC.

Has that Batman Vs Robin vibe with the Court of Owls and The Talons

WB Montreal also made Arkham Origins, the derided prequel to the Arkham series. Not gonna hold my breath without Rocksteady's involvement.

Eh, this is poor word choice and a bad take. Origins is consistently heralded as a very good game. The general consensus is that it's probably the worst of the 4, but in this case that isn't derision, it's acknowledging that the other 3 are superior, yet Origins is still damn good.

Can Batgirl be classed as a Knight, or is she the token here?

really does look like a bunch of angsty cosplaying teenagers....

If it has the same "quality" as the comic book then I wouldn't touch it even with a 100 foot pole.

She's been around longer than any Robin sans Grayson, so yes. Her character never progressing past angsty teenager is another matter.

+1. It was a mangled mess that soon turned into abandonware. I don't even think it was WB Montreal's fault, they just did what the parent company said - speed up the release, forget about bugs, concentrate on DLC.

You either haven't played it long enough, or you are one of the lucky 0.1% that had no major glitches.
In my several attempts at beating this game I've encountered almost every single bug that still exists.
The only time it "worked", was on my last attempt back in 2016, and even then I haven't had a chance to finish it due to bad scripting in one of the main quests (basically I got irreversibly stuck in one of the Riddler puzzles, which also triggered a next checkpoint and needed a hefty restart).

I wonder how the Avengers game success, or lack there of will influence the development of this game.

Wow this looks really bad. I think I'll be sitting this one and the Suicide Squad games out and I absolutely LOVE the Arkham Batman games - still would love to get more of them, but these two games look like they are marketed for kids.
