Steam can move games back and forth so I see it as no problem using server class hard disks and keeping games on hand if its desirable.

SSD prices are still much higher per GB than hard disks. I use 1TB and 2TB but 4TB prices are more interesting.

I strongly disagree. There are bunches of games that do not benefit from SSDs at all.
